I’ll be coaching a math competition in New Haven this weekend and pizza is on the menu for lunch. What are the odds the pie is true New Haven style?

I have no complaints about Pepe's from Mohegan Sun and I have grabbed clam pies from there multiple times.
Yes!!! That was our plan all the time. Picking ponies for hours at the old Racebook (before Fanduel moved in), drinking for free while eating the white clam pies from Pepe's.

-> The 3,502-square-foot building with 22-foot vaulted ceilings will allow them to create a new, fully renovated modern space for patrons to enjoy with a full bar and three to four TVs, according to Michael Nuzzo.

“Our Madison location has a bar, and we've always wanted to add one to another location,” he added. “The current Clinton location is an older piece of property and didn't really have the room or the capacity and we can only put so much of our own money into a place we don't own.”

The new space will also include new dining room sets and kitchen equipment that were recently purchased, outdoor seating and more staff and bartenders. The menu will likely be the same, with the addition of a few new twists to their beloved thin crust pizzas and a few added appetizers and entrées, according to Michael Nuzzo.<-

No, someone started a different thread about best pizza near Fairfield in January and it got merged into this one

I deleted the poll a week ago. It was 14 years old.

Specialty pizzas and array of slices bring New York touch to CT. Nobody ‘leaves hungry’

Really makes you wonder what a guy like Kemba would have been worth going into his junior season. We’re getting multi-million dollar NIL deals for barely above average players now.
Great question. And we had Kemba, Shabazz and Lamb. Then Boat and Shabazz together. Imagine the budget for that or even our 99, 04 teams.

I’m all for pay for play and adjusting with the times as an alum and fan, but something about that last sentence leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Scary to think if times were different back then would we able to form those rosters.

Going into his junior season? Probably not an outrageous amount because no one knew he was going to show up as superman going into that season.

Shabazz never was hungry. That’s such BS.
He just was not getting paid..
Student Athletes have and had access to food…
1989 at least.. I should know.

I think Bazz was talking about late nights and all the food halls are closed....but then I cannot imagine he doesn't get free grub at Teds or Huskies back in the day...if not directly from those places, the students in them late hours.

Not really. Kemba had a sophomore slump and UConn was not any great shakes in Nov. '10. No one west of Stamford really took notice until they came home from Maui with the hardware, beating Mich. St. and Kentucky.

Yes, they weren't ranked in the preseason poll. As a matter of fact they didn't even get a single vote.

I'm pretty sure SI had us ranked 68th to start the season. I'm going off of memory.
I dont recall if they ranked 68 i think that may have been the first year after expansion but we were not ranked. Granted it was a tournament projection not a ranking and included one bid leagues. Reagrdless they did not project us to make the field.
