I am told Sam had around 17 points tonight. That has seemed like a very common number for him so far this season.

Lubin's AAU coach just told me that he had 23 points and 12 rebounds tonight. He fouled out in overtime. He said the fouls were like Shaq's because he was stronger than the opponent so he had fouls called on him because of his strength on the offensive side.

Also, his coach will be sending me some highlights of Lubin from this season sometime soon.

From Scout--> Daniel Hamilton, SG/SF, John Bosco – With the game tied, Bosco looked to Hamilton and he flat out delivered. The 6-foot-7 wing hit a contested 19 foot jumper as the buzzer expired to break a tie and send the California kids home happy. Hamilton overall had a solid game beside that shot. He was showing some good ability to get to the rim, and then also was hitting from the mid-range. Add in that he had seven rebounds and four assists, and it was obvious the type of effort that Hamilton put forth, and the future Connecticut Husky showed why he is one of the best prospects in the country.

if hamilton isn't a consensus top 10 recruit by the end of the year, than this must be one of the best high school classes to come out in decades.

this isn't a particulary great class, its good but definitely not on the level of last year's. Both '14 and '15 are relatively equal, '16 is another loaded year.

Lubin with 23 points, 13 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 6 dunk his AAU/HS coach told me. After his last dunk he was called for a tech for hanging on the rim too long so they sat him the entire 4th quarter so he couldn't get another one and be forced to sit a game out.

Rakim Lubin, Buford’s 6-foot-8 Connecticut commit, then took over for the next two minutes. Lubin finished off four ally-oop dunks and blocked two shots to spark the decisive run that would see Buford lead 65-49 with four minutes left in the game. They also forced five more East Hall turnovers in a four minute span.

“(Rock) really stepped up for us but I thought it was our defense that set the table,” Whitehart said. “We were able to turn those into some easy points.”​
