Am I missing something or is no one else buying that shot ? Mechanics look solid and fluid. I get it looks like he’s playing against middle schoolers but truly seems like he has the foundation for a wide skill set, that pass too.

The release is too slow for this level right now, but that can be improved upon. He will make his mark as a defender and finisher on the break early in his career. The rest will come.

Whats not to like as far as potential and ceiling? I mean there were a couple passes Brimah couldn't throw 4 years later so the comparisons are ok, but this kid may have a huge head start and that's a good thing!

The thing that makes me the most sanguine about his potential is just his fluidity. For a guy his size he appears to have very good body control. With his combination of coordination and size there exists the potential to add a lot of skills.

A lot of good posts here. Offensive capability and overall athleticism are hard to believe for a 7 footer.
our staff has racked up some impressive talent. Wish we could see some of the scrimmages. Shows a lot of smoothness for someone that big. A lot of upside and looks like he is just scratching the surface.

Definitely a positive -high energy guy.. Showing flashes of offensive moves that are pretty impressive for a young man relatively new to the game. Tremendous upside if he keeps working hard on his game and embraces SnC in Storrs.

After the 2010 basketball season ended, a prominent football poster started a thread on the BB board about how we should look to replace Calhoun. This same poster was one of the most ardent supporters of RE1.

A few months later, RE1 left for maryland and became a disaster. Meanwhile JC won the NC the very next season. The yard has been yardin' for a very long time.

I have no idea why i remember this, but your post brought it to mind. I think we were on the Scout board back then.
