I'm watching them now. I was gonna say the same thing. They're a hot mess, They seem to play together about half the time. The other half it's like they've left their brains at home. They have some good players; in fact, on paper they have quite a lot of talent. But they lack attention to detail.

It spells poor coaching to me.
poor coaching, bad drafting, the front office has no clue what they are doing.

Chicago-New York would've been close...if the 2nd quarter didn't happen. 37-13 romping for the Sky. Lib were +1 the other 3 quarters.

Another double double for Parker, Sloot missed it by 1 assist, DeShields and Copper both scored 18.

Ionescu just isn't getting going since returning from injury.

Mystics beat the Storm...then turn around and lose to the Sparks. Weird. Charles and Mitchell combined for 51 of their 82. What's gotten into Leilani lately, she's going off.

Sparks got a combined 53 from Cooper, Sykes and Samuelson off the bench. Karlie was a perfect 5-5 overall and 3-3 behind the arc.

very good insight from of the panelists when Hammon did not get picked and she went to play for Russia

Thanks for posting. "Transparency" is the word virtually all of these panelists came back to.

And to counter the argument that "... this is a small world and we should keep it to ourselves" argument, Emily Kaplan brings up that other viewpoints can then take over the narrative, largely driven by social media.

Not everything has to be ultra-precise, but there are some key points that were no-brainers to have answers ready for....

You forgot Washington, when healthy nobody stopping that duo of Delle Donne Charles
I put dc in different category since no one has seen a Charles/EDD lineup yet. We know how good CT looks with Jonquel.

DC is playing pretty terrific given all the pieces they are missing (Cloud, Hynes-Allen…not to mention EDD and Messeman).

ive been impressed with how LA has been able to stick close to .500, particularly with Nneka out. They looked real bad to start the season, and are still a bad offensive team.

Good battle between the Aces and Lynx. Yo-yoing back and forth. Frontcourt players for both teams showing out--Fowles/Collier for Minn., Wilson/Cambage/Hamby for LV.

edit--48-44 Aces at the half. They trailed by as much as 9 in Q1.

Minnesota-Vegas has been pretty entertaining. Collier on triple-double watch with 12/6/6 at the half. Fowles-Cambage are always fun to watch, and no disappointment tonight. Liz whistled for a couple of fouls despite never having committed one in her life.

Awfully one sided officiating in Q3. Lynx went from down 8 to up 6 w/ a CRAP TON of trips to the FT line. Collier has as many attempts as the entire Aces team. Sure, that's not home cookin'...

Refs pulled a 180 in Q4. They did too good of a job getting Minnesota back into the game in Q3. It has certainly been an oddly officiated game. They've kinda lost control of it down the stretch. Cambage is in the middle of everything, of course.

Clarendon has been the best guard on the floor, but Plum is suddenly coming alive.

Aces looked like they were about to steal this one, then Cambage sailed a ball out of bounds on a high low entry pass.

Lynx up 2 w/ 1 minute left.

Lynx pull it out by 1. Refs swallow the whistles in OT, pretty sure there wasn't a single foul called. Extremely inconsistent reffing to say the least.

She makes too many bad passes.
Yeah, so...were you watching Chelsea Gray?

edit--Gray had 2 HORRIBLE TOs in OT. She was pretty bad this game. Her 7 assists offset by 6 TOs, 6 points in 37 minutes. She tried to take over in OT and failed. Plum is pretty much the reason they even got to OT, then she barely touched the ball in the extra session.

Nice to see Lynx beat Aces 90-89. Cambage should be fouled out in 4Q if not because of #86 Ref.

Collier 2 assists from a triple double. 23/10/8.

Cambage with 18 points and 20 rebounds. One T, easily could've gotten another the way she was jawing at the refs, especially after her (one-sided) altercation with Shepard and Collier. Second time Pheesa's exchanged words with a big this season.

I have no idea why a play was drawn up for McBride toward the end of regulation. She'd been throwing up bricks all night.

It was nice to see Shepard play some productive minutes. I'm really pulling for her. Played with ND, but I've always liked and respected her.

So here's an interesting stat. Plum's FT attempts by year:

'17 31 games 69 FTA
'18 31 games 40 FTA
'19 34 games 39 FTA
'21 8 games 26 FTA

So...Kelsey figured out how to draw fouls during the year she was sitting out injured? Refs are finally giving her some foul calls they should've been giving her throughout her career? I'm thinking it's the second option. This is the player who hit more FTs in college than anybody else ever has, she must've known a little bit about drawing fouls before becoming a pro. Well it certainly helps the scoring average when you can get some trips to the charity stripe for some freebies (she's 25-26 at the line so far, not bad).

Also Plum is now the third leading scorer for the Aces behind only Wilson and Cambage, despite not starting a single game this year.
