Here's what Lobo said about Astan Dabo: She's 6-8, long, only 19 years old. While Brittney Griner isn't in this draft, this is a player who can help compete against Brittney Griner in years to come. Then Peck added: Thibault took building for the future literally. Also of note: Dabo plays for Reims in France and her 2011-12 stats were 11.2 ppg and 12.8 rpg.

So Indy passes on Tiff ---- maybe a reunion with Maya in Minny ....!??!??!?!

Or will Minny take Kizer, perhaps?

Lynx take a Brazilian at #12, no first round for Tiff :(

Damiris Dantas is a young (19 y.o.) 6'4" C from Brazil, looks very athletic, yet more depth at /C for Minny, which is clearly what they had on their shopping list today.

They recently signed a veteran guard to the roster, retained Wiggins, still have Monica Wright, and of course Whalen and Seimone, so they just weren't going to be looking at guards in this draft. Taj is retiring after this year in all likelihood, so they are bolstering their inside game with fresh talent.

I think Glory will have a better pro career tha Peters. Peters never impressed me that much, she always seemed to be in foul trouble.

Fouls aren't the same in the WNBA. It may still be an issue, but it will be less of one.

Looks like Minny won't actually be 'taking delivery' (so to speak) of Damiris Dantas...

"The top-talked about foreign player seems to be one with the most wild-card potential, Damiris Dantas. The 19-year old Brazilian has apparantly made it known that she is unwilling to play in the WNBA until after the 2016 Olympics, so if Dantas' name is called it will be for investment purposes."

Literally over? ;)

I thought Peck meant because buildings are usually constructed from the ground up and Mike Thibault chose someone very tall. I thought it made sense.

I'm really diss---appointed. This is ridiculous....

Atlanta is a great team for Tiff. Playing with Angel she will have a chance to shine, and close to home. Plus the coach is Geno's asst. In London.

Tiff is so well spoken. congrats to her. sounds like the Dream are a great fit for her. and her parents are happy too!

I think Tiff will help Angel--get into the playoffs and contend for a championship.

Considering Atlanta has not only made the playoffs, but has made the WNBA Finals the last two years, I am not sure if that will be Tiffany's role.

As an aside, the pick is great, if Hayes is really consistent from three. She turns up the defense (which already was really good), but she will be relied upon for her outside shot (Harding is hot and cold from distance, while McCoughtry is better with her mid-range game than from three).

People should remember it is not where you are drafted, unlike the NBA. The NBA has guaranteed salaries for first round picks; there are no guaranteed roster spots for WNBA first round picks. Thus, the "fit" is much more important. And I do not think Tiffany could have done better in that respect.

Tifffffffff, great landing spot in the ATL. I will have to look for her interview online later on.

She's come a long way, baby!

All good things. With Angel, Atlanta is a dangerous club. Tiff will be a nice addition in terms of firepower, speed, and defense. And it's semi-close to Lakeland.

welp everyone else answered for me ;)

I was saying Angel will take Tiff under her wing in getting acclimated with the W

I'm not sure if the personnel selection in the WNBA is any better than the coaching, which is spotty in my view.

Three words for this draft: height, height, and height. Tiff was the second player under 5'11" chosen (after Prahalis). Most of the first rounders were 6'2" and bigger. There was definitely a move for size. I still think that Tiff should have been in the 8-12 range.
