Lol, how in the hell is this allowed without calling a tech?
Is that real - it looks like CGI.

I’d be shocked if Akok doesn’t get a lot of applause. No one can question what he went through and put in here. Can’t imagine anyone thinks negatively of him.
I cannot begin to understand putting games at Gampel during winter break.
Not to mention he plays for a team that has almost no chance to win. (Doomed)Also a kid who is impossible not to like. I'll cheer from wherever i am.
This. There’s a lot of things not to like about playing at the XL, most notably the reek of fryer grease and a lease cost that borders on usery, that said, it makes perfect sense to schedule games during the break in Hartford. It makes no sense. It's the perfect time to throw the games to XL, and not have anyone complain. If they would sync up the XL games with student breaks, 3 day weekends, etc... No one would complain, and it would actually make proper use of an arena closer to the middle of CT, but further from the students (who in this case are probably closer to XL during breaks anyways while staying with parents).

Heck, I’d give the kid a standing O during introductions. He played his heart out when he was here and his injury was absolutely heartbreaking. Nothing wrong with showing the kids that he’s still remembered and loved. Also a kid who is impossible not to like. I'll cheer from wherever i am.
Probably thought we'd sell even less for Georgetown at XL and lose money. 0-18 last year and all.I cannot begin to understand putting games at Gampel during winter break.
That’s the thing. You pretty much have to sell out at the XL to have a shot at making any money.Probably thought we'd sell even less for Georgetown at XL and lose money. 0-18 last year and all.
Remote? Live in Southington and don’t consider Gampel even remotely remote.During winter break schedule a game apiece in Bridgeport and Mohegan Sun to cover the two other fan bases of CT. Fan bases there are ignorantly ignored by the UCONN brass.
The XL Center is too big a venue to think all games will sell out, while Gampel is too remote when students are off-campus.
Sure, next Gampel game drive down to Redding and take the one and a half hour drive to Gampel.Remote? Live in Southington and don’t consider Gampel even remotely remote.
The conference tells us when we have home games. It's totally up to us as to how to allocate them between Hartford and Storrs. If UConn controlled the league's scheduling they would probably have few if any games at Gampel during the breaks, but aren't their hands tied in that respect?
Using remote for such a small state, where the longest you could possibly have to drive between any two places within said state is like 2.5 hours or 140 miles is kind of odd. It isn't THAT remote for anyone in the state.During winter break schedule a game apiece in Bridgeport and Mohegan Sun to cover the two other fan bases of CT. For a final score of UConn 108 GTown 20.I hope Akok goes for 20 and 10 in a loss!
Traffic is often a bigger impediment than distance.Using remote for such a small state, where the longest you could possibly have to drive between any two places within said state is like 2.5 hours or 140 miles is kind of odd. It isn't THAT remote for anyone in the state.
