Wish schools would report tickets scanned for attendance versus tickets distributed. The difference is significant not just for WBB, but for college sports in general. But the schools want the narrative of sell outs, or 10,000 WBB fans etc. Would also be very easy to report scanned ticket counts.
Nebraska football is perhaps the biggest offender. 85k stadium with a long reported sell-out streak, but sometimes less than 60,000 show up. But all schools report the same way. Would love to see an article like the one linked below for WBB.
Among the takeaways from 12 Big Ten teams' turnstile counts, which differ from paid/announced attendance: Illinois' paid attendance was up by 6,650 a game. Actual? Up 1,190 ... No Michigan
