And singing YMCA? Actually, you may be on to something. To get out of the recruiting abyss, strictly recruit the top gay players. Host a recruit cruise instead of campus visits? Hire John Amaechi as big man coach. Maybe Bernie Fine as associate head coach? Now that's thinking outside the box.![]()

But coming from a guy who whines constantly about people getting to games
Not sure what the blind eye is towards what both Mom's felt. KO needs to figute out why the last 2 parents didnt buy what he was selling. That trump everything else in the end.
Just for the record, my consistent derision on this topic has always been firmly focused on "fans" that don't go to games badmouthing the better fans who do.
No doubt there's issues but we are talking parents and their kids here. My parents went to every game me and my brother played until we were 30. When my brother played in the minors in the NY Penn League in the summer my dad took Fridays off and we went wherever the weekend series was despite it being anywhere from 4-5 hours away. They as parents want to be there - in Sids case they don't have to drive perfect fit at St Johns. In this case RU is 3 hours best from Baltimore, UConn is either a flight or 6-7 hours. It could be that simple right?
I'm not blind there's a HUGE issue and they both more than likely aren't that but I am sure of those 2 one of them are for that reason alone, at least one! It happens in close families and that's a good thing right?
Yes it could be. But it also could be what was quoted about how his Mom felt about Rutgers head coach. Did she say that about ours?

Im not bashing KO. Just staying that something is not working. Is it him, them or me? Him and them have been replaced. Might be time to look in the mirror before it's to late.
Has there ever been a surer guarantee of regret than what we will have when KO is HC on another team and he is recruiting against us?I am not sure no one put that in print. Maybe she also liked KO but wouldn't divulge for selfish reasons, albeit good intentions. We don't know, no one knows but many elect to assume they have it figured out.
I get it, major problems for the program we all have so much passion for but KO's still here, not leaving tomorrow because he lost the 90th recruit and for me it's easier to dig out of it with what you have rather than rip it apart so I'm sticking to the hope of turning it around as is.

Mal from my sources was scared off. He got the excuse that he needed with Miller. Here is what I think/speculate went down. He was a highly rated recruit who had a lot of holes in his game. He was eligible for 16 but did a postgrad yr to improve his shooting n point guard skills. It did not happen, he average like 14 and 3 assists. Shooting 50% form free throw line and 30% from 3. He was air balling 3s when the two times when I saw him play when he was challenge. He was going to be a defense specialist for us this yr. There was no way he was getting minutes over Vital. He did not want to be the 4th guard since he is already old. BTW, all the Brewster games r on utube. Check him out, grossly overated
If this is true, it's not surprising KO wanted to replace Miller with Chillious. Miller seemed to focus heavily on the easiest-to-bring-in-local guys.
No...When all those lights on your car dashboard are flashing you don't just wish them away and keep driving. You take the car in to get fixed because the longer you wait the more screwed your car is.
A lot of people here wanted coaching changes a while ago and Miller was the biggest target. I am sure out of all the non-Pollyanna's (lol) there were sone who posted the same. Now they will choose to target Chill and Kill and if they're replaces it will be on them if we lose one or 10. The thing is Glen was pretty successful with the "easy" targets and now we aren't. I don't believe it's on the new staff and instead on the perception of KO's ills, but they will still hold this poor guys accountable when we all can see they are working their respective arses off. I think it will all work out and I like this staff.
No...
You keep reminiscing about the good old days when you just bought the car brand new and keep telling yourself that if it was good then it'll be just as good eventually in the future because that's just how things work.
I would love to go back and search through all of the threads calling for Miller's head and see who's done a complete 180 on him since he was let go.

More dumb drivel.
That's what people like you are doing when you blindly believe that the next hire will get us back on track.
Me? Really?
I was replying to another lunkhead.

There are negative posters here who are negative because they expect us to be winning championships every few years.More dumb drivel.

So off base you aren't even in the ball park, but keep swinging slugger you'll tucker yourself out eventually.
Garbage.
If MAL didn't decommit, Vital would have left.

Then there are realists who are not happy because the whole thing is a dumpster fire.
You're conflating them when they have very little in common outside of being unhappy.
Give me one good reason why you believe in Kevin Ollie. Secondly, that faith is so strong that you are willing to give him one year? This doesn't add up.
They're not realists if they think a new hire is all we need to climb out of the muck.
No one has really said that, though. You're just arguing with yourself.
