Maria admitted she tried to edit it, gave up and removed it.
Not a fan of hers at all, but I have to say I can't blame her for the deletion. I scanned 3 or 4 of the post game pages and the bashing was pretty bad. So bad in fact that I actually felt a bit of pity for a few of those folks, something I never thought would happen.

I am shocked by how terrible our team is right now. They cannot play cohesive team offense (no surprise there really) and cannot play disciplined defense ( huge surprise there).

If shots don't fall, they all hang their heads and sulk. Their d and board play suffers, and we get blown out. This season is really really sad. I think our board is at a complete loss. I've been a fan of the lady vols for 20 years now, and I've never seen a team as bad as we are right now. It's horribly depressing. Maybe you guys can lay off us? ;) I know...not likely.

I am pleased and proud, and not the least bit surprised that the posts on this board pertaining to Pat's situation have been consistently civil, thoughtful and sympathetic. Sharp contrast to the usual tone of your board. It's ironic that dozens of your colleagues showered Geno with vituperative posts because he committed the grievous sin of including the name of Jeff Walz and "Tennessee" in the same sentence. One day later, many of the same mean-spirited posters went much further in discussing the coaching situation with the LVols.

You might consider asking them to lay off. I trust my fellow Boneyarders to sustain a civil discourse.

We went through a lot of angst when Diana left. Geno said, "I knew when Diana left the party was over. What I didn't know was that in addition to the party ending, the lights went off when the electricity was cut off, the door got padlocked, and the building was condemned.'

On a serious note the harsh reality is that Pat isn't going to coach for three years and it's a damned shame. Somehow the administration has to delicately retrieve the car keys. I have thought that her son Tyler maybe helpful as a liaison; surely he can see her gradual disengagement and would not want to see her go through another season like this (and likely worse).

Whether the administration hires a man or woman, a member of the LVol family or an outsider, they must act decisively and quickly in order to renew recruiting of talent. The current situation is not working on the court or in the recruiting competition, and the ticking sound is akin to a time bomb about to explode.

We all wish Pat well, don't question that. And just as it takes two to tango, it takes two competitive teams to constitute a rivalry. Good luck, everywhere but Storrs, Connecticut.

i have a feeling we will have a new coach by the next season. pat loves TN more than herself. if she feels it is hurting the program, she will make the decision to retire. i have no doubt in that. unless the season totally changes in the tourney, my gut says she will graciously step aside and remain a big part of the program in some significant way.

and thanks to you and some of your fellow UCONN fans for the nice words about Pat and TN

I believe it had grown to 26 pages and had a ton of player, coaches and anything else orange bashing.

I strongly suspect that it was sold at 50%-70% off at McMillins.

i agree with this 100%. i totally admit i enjoy reading the Summitt after a loss or after they lose a recruit. i think that's part of the nature of fans' general dislike in heated rivalries. and yet, as you said, there is a very lengthy post that was finally locked where one poster after another completely went off on Geno for his comments.

2 things struck me. first, i understand wanting to vent after yet another mystifying loss and going at a favorite target like Geno and UCONN is like mother's milk to many there. One classless personal attack after another. Second, ANYONE who ever again says that there is little difference between the boards needs to be promptly admitted to a psych ward. the continued viciousness spewed by some/many over there, every chance they get, has not only been allowed, but encouraged.

i don't disagree that there is an occasional post on here that most of us would probably rather not have on the board, but generally those shots have been taken at posters on our board, almost never have i seen them leveled at Pat. unless you go back to all the shenanigans she pulled in the 34 page complaint to the NCAA's and the mess she made when she canceled the series...
