Top 4th, Huskies lead off the inning with walks for Gozzo and Winkel, but nothing comes of it. Game tied at 2.

Chris Jones says game has to end around 4:30 eastern time due to UConn travel.

Bottom 4th, Krauth with a 1-2-3 inning with 2 more strikeouts. Krauth at 74 pitches.

Top 5th, Stock and Christian Fedko lead off the inning with walks. Pitching change for UNO to get a lefty to face Crawford.

Two out Winkel walk loads the bases, has to be the most walks UConn hitters have had all season. Brodnansky out on a diving catch by the CF to end the inning. 3-2 UConn lead.

.-.
Top 6th, Bushling and Stock with one out singles, both advance a base on a fly out. Crawford singles them in to make it 5-2 Huskies with two out. Kyler Fedko with his fourth hit of the game to follow Crawford, but nothing doing after that.

Bottom 6th, Krauth strands two runners on base. 5-2 Huskies. Krauth at 94 pitches, that might be it for him for the day, terrific performance. Polonia was warming up that inning.

Top 7th, singles by Brodansky and Bushling. Stock with a two out double to drive in a run to make it 6-2.

Christian Fedko drives in two runs with a two out single. 8-2 Huskies!

.-.
Krauth to start the bottom of the 7th inning. Polonia warming up.

Top 8th, UConn goes down in order. Bottom 8th, Polonia in to pitch.

Bottom 8th, Polonia with a quick 1-2-3 inning. The great part about it is he did not come close to walking anybody, which isn't always the case with Randy.

Bushling continues to be solid for us - he has 2 hits and was just robbed of a 3rd.

Apart from the lack of home run power (we miss Pat Winkel) I have no complaints about the offense 9 games into the season. If we find consistent starting pitching on Friday or Saturday, we will make the NCAA tournament. If not, we're screwed.

Have to think Stock might get a shot at being the primary D.H., as long as Gozzo isn't being used there.

With the way Crawford raps out doubles ... it’s not gonna take long for him to reach fences. Just stay within himself

Stock & Petersen one would think have put themselves in position to play regularly with weekend they had.
Hague and Maycock maybe on outside looking in for playing time.

Today’s lineup, with Wink in the 7-hole, should stick. Stock’s approach at the plate makes him an ideal 2-hole hitter. Bushling, Jefferson, Fedko^2, and Gozzo have all been good. The 8 & 9 spots have been a revolving door thus far. Brodnansky will be fine at Dan Hurley, if Stock is not there. Whoever grasps hold of the 3B spot will continue to round out the lineup.

People missed that Crawford had a homer at the end of the Saturday rout. He will be and is a big power threat.

Waiting for the return of David Langer. I'm sure he will get a big look at 3B when he gets back. It also wouldn't surprise me if Todd Petersen gets some more starts there as well especially if Langer remains out.
