After getting an out on a sac fly, Jimmy Wang can't find the plate either. He's walking and hitting batters. 10-0.

12-0 going to the top of the 4th. It will be interesting to see who else pitches today after Wang. Leif Bigelow for sure, wouldn't be surprised if Stock and Crawford get a turn towards the end of the game.

Odd Chris Jones stat that he mentioned before the game really got going. UConn baseball has only played twice on February 29 (leap day), and each time they have given up 18 runs. Going to give that one a run for the money.

...welp. Pretty sad play today. Have to get one tomorrow or have a miracle comeback today.

Top 5th, Stock walks and eventually scores. Also that inning, Petersen with a hit, and Maycock picks up another strikeout. 12-1.

13-1 going to the top of the 6th. At least Wang did not walk or hit anybody that inning.

Top 6th, Kyler Fedko and Stock both with their third hits of the game. 13-2. Leif Bigelow comes to the mound to get mop up duty in the bottom of the 6th. I'm sure Penders would love it if he could get through the next three innings.

Top 7th, Todd Petersen with a two hit game, plus a good play in the field the previous inning.

UNO got 17 runs. Missed it by that much!

Changing it up a bit...

I was thinking that until he shows some consistency at the bat that Chris Winkel needed be moved out of the 2 spot in the lineup. Maycock out of the lineup no real surprise to me with the number of strikeouts he was piling up.

Top 1st, a two out walk for Christian Fedko. After being a walking machine for most of last season, that is the first walk of this season for Christian. No score going to the bottom of the inning.

Bottom 1st, Krauth strands a runner at 2B, gets two strikeouts that inning. No score.

Bottom 2nd, UNO leadoff single off the wall, followed by a throwing error by Crawford on a pickoff, then a wild pitch puts the runner at 3B. Runner scores on a ground out to make it 2-1 Huskies with two out.

Bottom 2nd, two more runners reach, followed by a single to tie the game at 2. Error on Stock in left field puts runners at 2B and 3B with two out. Fly out ends the inning. Both runs unearned.

Bottom 3rd, easy 1-2-3 inning for Krauth. He picks up 2 strikeouts for 5 on the game. Krauth at 61 pitches. Game tied at 2.
