We were probably playing Johnson/Singare together or Ross/Stewart at the 4/5 instead of Karaban/Clingan. Easier scoring inside is no concern this season.
I would agree with this completely if I hadn’t been told otherwise by people I trust. First of all before I say another word I want to offer two things. The kid is from Baltimore and a father is heavily involved, that is a recipe for disaster historically for us. Rumor at the time of recruitment was that this was a done deal to Maryland but Maryland told him to pound sand because of an NIL request from the dad. Now an insider at Maryland says that request was $200k. I don’t have any idea if this is true and would have said no way just like you. Now fast forward and an insider who I know is an insider at PC with access to the staff says PC was informed by the father that it would take $350-400k for his son to sign in 2 weeks. PC passes. That’s all I know and how I know it.The Nigel Pack NIL deal was very public. Wong then got mad that he was making less than Pack, so they each ended up getting $400k/year Nijel Pack reveals honest emotions of John Ruiz announcing details of NIL deal
The Providence NIL number is just what was said earlier on this board. No idea if that's true, and tbh I don't believe that a 3* recruit was getting $200k from anyone, let alone Providence.

Post 144. Not a topic that I brought into this thread. If true…it probably belongs in a different thread.
No Karaban either? Is he hurt? I haven’t seen anything about him latelyNo DC, and no AK though.
I think he was out only because he had his wisdom teeth removed. No Karaban either? Is he hurt? I haven’t seen anything about him lately
Tooth surgery he’s ok. Molars I believe. No Karaban either? Is he hurt? I haven’t seen anything about him lately
Ahh ok thanks!I think he was out only because he had his wisdom teeth removed.
My expectation is that SJ is going to be hedging and blitzing ball screens rather than sitting in drop and blocking shots. So rim protection falls to everyone else. It's the same as the criticism of Adama's rim protection that often came when it wasn't his responsibility. Johnson can block shots better than Sanogo could. With Karaban out, that leaves Castle and Ross/Stewart doing something they probably aren't used to and covering the paint when the 5 is out.Hoping for better defense from SJ. Gonna be a long season if SJ does not defend down in the post well.
Ask Victoria.

SJ actually has the perfect build for a normal hedge. Whaley was great at blitzing screens, Adama not so much (he had his moments), but SJ is so long and athletic that he should be able to hedge and recover pretty easily. Or at least disrupt passing lanes without having to blitzMy expectation is that SJ is going to be hedging and blitzing ball screens rather than sitting in drop and blocking shots. We need Chief to chime in about the high hedgeSJ actually has the perfect build for a normal hedge. I trust Andre Jackson and Tyrese Martin rotating down from the weak side to cover while the big is getting back to his man. Cam Spencer, Stephon Castle, Jayden Ross, Jaylin Stewart, Tristen Newton...not so much

Exactly. That’s why I’m not so worried about Harvard scoring in the paint. Most likely that was a result of our guys who have to learn how to do what Andre and Tyrese did, not being good at it yet. It’s also tough because when Clingan is in they behave differently.SJ actually has the perfect build for a normal hedge.
