What’s the best way to purchase tix if it’s doubtful you’ll be going to game? I won’t know for sure ifor another week but want to help support UConn.
Just buy them on the Red Sox website. They are tickets in the MLB Ballpark app anyway.

Do you mean best way to support the program or best way for yourself if you can’t go?

If former - the AD will send out info later tonight

If latter - just wait till the last minute and buy from the secondary market

Had fun there last year and had a nice weekend in Boston with my better half. Agreed watching UConn's feeble run D bleed yardage in slow-mo vs. the triple option isn't a big selling point. Definitely not going spend on lodging like last year. If the extended weather forecast looks favorable will consider a round trip.

Thanks. The former. I want UConn to get credit regardless if I attend. MLB app does not seem like the way to go.

I think this is a reality check for those of us who thought we may be in line for one of the middle of the road bowls the P4 owns. They were never giving up Pinstripe. Dukes Mayo is on prime time on 1/2. Liberty is also on that prime day.

We are not in the club. We are probably a high end G5 based on our brand but still G5. Gasparilla was the one I thought we may sneak into. SEC slot but their less attractive one.

Oh well. I’m fine with the game. Hopefully it draws in more of the casual fans like last year.

Just really bummed it’s against Army. Particular since we already play them regularly. No novelty. If AAC would prefer a different team like Memphis or ECU or even UTSA. Oh well

Since when do UConn fans have the right to be picky about a bowl? Have we been to so many that we can take them for granted?
I was hoping for warm weather and a P4 opponent, but i am not complaining.
Because that means that our program has not improved standing despite all of the evidence to the contrary. Going to the same bowl two years in a row means this program is stuck.

Actually, we are doing the ACC a favor by taking their spot in the Fenway Bowl. Hopefully, they will remember.
Are we actually kidding ourselves now? Are we trying to justify this selection as a possible chip to get into the ACC...the league that almost got shut out of the CFP this year. This is incredible cope.

There are so many firmer CT residents in FL and the Carolinas that we wouldn't need to travel well to sell tickets.
Whenever any UConn team plays in Florida the arena is 80% Husky fans. I went to the women’s UConn vs USF game in Tampa last week and it was mostly UConn fans. The UConn club in the Villages has 400 fans, lol. They ship bus loads to games

No, I do NOT live in the Villages, thank goodness

I was at game. Not sure the actual number but it was fairly close to what they reported. To say that aboit the attendence you are either clueless or trying to be negative for some reason.
It looked very crowded to me, I had a great view. We had those upper deck seats around home plate. I'd get those again in a heartbeat.

God, stop it already. I’m disappointed we didn’t get one of the SEC’s slots also but just stop it. The attendance reported last year looked perfectly consistent with what I saw in the stadium and the ACC, which controls the bowl, had no reason to make us look good with an inflated number. And thinking that the fact that we went to the same bowl for a second year in a row means “the program is stuck” is beyond stupid. Unless your point is that as the sole non-Notre Dame independent we’re not going to play in bigger bowls, in which case, well, duh.

One year ago we had one player — ONE — opt out of the bowl game because they didn’t care. Might there be some more with the coaching change? Sure, it’s possible as it would be anywhere. But how about we don’t assume no players are going to care to show up until some of the players tell us that.

Let’s use the Gasparilla Bowl as an example: could have been a tasty matchup in Tampa. Beaches, “festivities”, likely more expenses all around but a higher payout. Played when 75% of our fanbase and CFB fanbase is at work!
I don’t get the negativity.
