Agree. Who wouldn’t want to play in freezing cold temps against a service academy who takes every play serious.Would expect a heavy amount of opt outs…

No offense, but this misses the point of what a bowl game should be. It's not just about the game, but also about the festivities. I've been to the Fenway Bowl for the past two years. The festivities really don't exist with this bowl game. It's just another game. It's one of the worst bowl games out there in this regard.Would have been nice to play in a different bowl. Cheap travel costs for team and fans though.
tbh I would expect that with almost every other bowl option we would haveWould expect a heavy amount of opt outs…
Fenway was great last year but you’re right, no festivities whatsoever. Any players who played last year will be underwhelmed. No offense, but this misses the point of what a bowl game should be. See, I thought the atmosphere was fun. Fenway is cozy, has good concessions, and I like the feeling of UConn fans pouring into neighboring states and dominating venues like MSG and Fenway. No offense, but this misses the point of what a bowl game should be. I have not, so I guess my expectations are fairly low. Plus I'm not one who can afford to spend money on lodging, etc.The game last year was fine. But if you've ever been to another bowl game before, there are usually events the day before, there's a whole deal...and that quite literally does not exist with the Fenway Bowl. It's just a game. That's it.
Fenway sucks for football, there’s no usual day-of events like normal bowls, it’s just a very mid bowl. When you throw in the weather too it’s a no-brainer why no P4 teams want to go here.Fenway was great last year. ACC opponent, easy for UConn fans to get to. But this year it kinda feels like a step back. Will go regardless but was hoping this time for a trip somewhere else
What? UConn set an attendance record last year and there is a reason why Fenway wants them back this year. The attendance was ABYSMAL last year.

I agree but at the same time the program still isn't in a spot where people are gonna travel for a mid/lower level bowl game in FL or NC or wherever sadlyFenway sucks for football, there’s no usual day-of events like normal bowls, it’s just a very mid bowl. But we still gotta show up…
Yep. Not to mention P4 wants to keep the high paying games for themselves. Regardless still have to show up as a team and fanbase.I agree but at the same time the program still isn't in a spot where people are gonna travel for a mid/lower level bowl game in FL or NC or wherever sadly
This. Army will treat it like the Super Bowl.My biggest concern is that Army should be at fuller strength since I assume no players on Arny would sit the game out. Not so sure about UConn and the players who plan to enter the portal and Bell and Joe.
