No plane ticket thoughThis looks like a same-day trip for me. Hotels on first look are twice what I paid last year.

There were still a ton of empty seats. What? UConn set an attendance record last year and there is a reason why Fenway wants them back this year.
There were not 28k in the stadium at all. I suspect a lot of folks ended up not going because of the weather last year.
Army lost to an FCS team to begin the season. This is not an unreasonable takeI want a blow out and I'm really not trying to sound arrogant about it and mean no disrespect to Army we are due to beat them let's do it.
It was the largest Fenway Bowl in history by many thousands. That is not abysmal by definition. There were still a ton of empty seats.
Plus we have recent experience against their type of offense. Can they cover our guys?Army lost to an FCS team to begin the season. This is not an unreasonable take
It's a prominent G5 bowl because it usually means playing an ACC team. This year, we're taking the place of the ACC team so it's not really that impressive. Issue is that we have already played in it just last year and the opponent is not big enough to convince our top players to not opt out.People need to get a grip. This is one of the best paying and prominent bowls a g5 can get into. And the date/ time is more in line with all the important bowls, on the espn flagship for lots of eyes
Army is renowned nationally no matter what, and this years version gives us a good chance at 10 wins and maybe even close to a top 25 finish. We were lucky to get it last year, and yes we are lucky to get it this year. Most years we would be in Myrtle Beach playing Coastal Carolina or Marshall making 500,000 and spending it all on travel and logistics.
What’s the best way to purchase tix if it’s doubtful you’ll be going to game? I won’t know for sure ifor another week but want to help support UConn.Buy tickets through UConn and not Ticketmaster. We need to buy up the allotment
Stay in Framingham or other town on the MBTA line. Cheaper and easier in and out of the cityThis looks like a same-day trip for me. Hotels on first look are twice what I paid last year.
I didn't realize the attendance numbers they had on record and I did notice it was more attended than Cincy v. Louisville which I also went to, but there is absolutely no way that an extra 10k people were inside the stadium last year. I would have guessed a few thousand at most.It was the largest Fenway Bowl in history by many thousands. That is not abysmal by definition.
Link isn’t up yet but there’s usually a way to buy tickets and donate to military families, Make A Wish kids, or other youth groupsWhat’s the best way to purchase tix if it’s doubtful you’ll be going to game? I won’t know for sure ifor another week but want to help support UConn.
I was at game. Not sure the actual number but it was fairly close to what they reported. To say that aboit the attendence you are either clueless or trying to be negative for some reason. There were not 28k in the stadium at all. I suspect a lot of folks ended up not going because of the weather last year.
Just buy them on the Red Sox website. They are tickets in the MLB Ballpark app anyway. What’s the best way to purchase tix if it’s doubtful you’ll be going to game? I won’t know for sure ifor another week but want to help support UConn.
Do you mean best way to support the program or best way for yourself if you can’t go?What’s the best way to purchase tix if it’s doubtful you’ll be going to game? I won’t know for sure ifor another week but want to help support UConn.
Thanks. The former. I want UConn to get credit regardless if I attend. MLB app does not seem like the way to go.Do you mean best way to support the program or best way for yourself if you can’t go?
If former - the AD will send out info later tonight
If latter - just wait till the last minute and buy from the secondary market
Oh, so you’re mad and crashing out by straight-up lying about last years game, noted.Yeah I'm super disappointed. I was ready to shell out to go to a warm location this year.
Because that means that our program has not improved standing despite all of the evidence to the contrary. Going to the same bowl two years in a row means this program is stuck.Since when do UConn fans have the right to be picky about a bowl? Have we been to so many that we can take them for granted?
I was hoping for warm weather and a P4 opponent, but i am not complaining.
There are so many firmer CT residents in FL and the Carolinas that we wouldn't need to travel well to sell tickets.I agree but at the same time the program still isn't in a spot where people are gonna travel for a mid/lower level bowl game in FL or NC or wherever sadly
Actually, we are doing the ACC a favor by taking their spot in the Fenway Bowl. Hopefully, they will remember.Because that means that our program has not improved standing despite all of the evidence to the contrary. Going to the same bowl two years in a row means this program is stuck.
