Oklahoma isn't really coveted at all.

UConn and the ACC have always made sense for one another, but it hasn't happened for numerous reasons. Many of you are getting your hopes up a little too much for something that's a long shot.
Things have changed since UCONN last got a no from the ACC. BC needs UCONN in the Northeast as a rivalry now whereas last time they didn't need us. Their Football team back then was decent and the basketball team was pretty good with Dana Barros, John Bagley, Bill Curley, Murphy, Michael Adams, etc. Now both programs are the laughing stock of P5 conferences. They have agreed to play us in Football this fall, which helps them as much as it helps us. If UCONN gets in, BC takes a bus to an away game for all sports, for the first time in years. That renewed rivalry will help both schools in recruiting in New England as well.

it's a win-win for both schools, and (as you said) it adds some desperately needed juice for big time college sports in New England. Once this happens, both schools should also rope in Providence for a regular basketball thing too.

Acc would take wvu before UConn and cinci isnt ever getting invited.
not so sure about that, WVU doesn't bring the geography nor the academics.

Yeah, but the football is more than good enough to offset that.

No it's not, West Virginia since 2012 has only had one winning season in its conference, all the other years their record was sub 500 in their conference. Even HCRE and Maryland killed them one year like 39-0.

Eh this is outright false and also spinning the facts. Wvu is the better fit. Acc needs football not basketball. Comparing wvu and uconn football is lik comparing emily ratajkowski to melissa mccarthy.

2012 Holgorsen 4–5

2013 Holgorsen 2–7

2014 Holgorsen 5-4

2015 Holgorsen 4-5

2016 Holgorsen 7-2

2012 Holgorsen 4–5

2013 Holgorsen 2–7

2014 Holgorsen 5-4

2015 Holgorsen 4-5

2016 Holgorsen 7-2

So two winning seasons not one. And two 4-5 years. Right at 500. Not terrible in the big 12.

To conclude, i was correct saying one winning season is false. Thank you.

No they don't. They have a 2 of the last 4 champions, and have made the CFP every year, and been in the title game three of the last four years.

Football is fine. Basketball is fine, too, to be fair.

But I think there are a whole host of ways that the ACC benefits more from UConn than from WVU (New England and NYC being two things UConn delivers).

Unfortunately, uconn doesnt deliver either.

Well, you should notice how UConn women outdraw in Syracuse men in New York, and we might be able to say that UConn would cinch both those areas in tandem with the rest of the league.

Or just ignore the 2014 MSG scene and all that.

Assuming youre right, not sure how that equates to delivering new england and nyc (kind of a joke argument but whatever) or why it would even matter to the acc. Your football program is just too far down the totem poll to be considered for acc inclusion. Weak in current stature and history.

You realize that were were considered for inclusion? Twice?

Just saying, if you're going to troll at least don't be an idiot about it.

Rutgers to the B1G says "Hi." Cable boxes are going away, and subscription services are going to be more important. So big population centers will be important. UConn/Syracuse, UConn/BC would solidify the two major markets while adding a densely populated state via its state school.

They may not add UConn, but this board has enough naysaying fans--too many at the moment, in fact, to endure some opposing school's fan talk about things he doesn't really know much about. So go to the Conference Realignment board to chat about this, or go somewhere else, but cut out the trolling. Hugs and kisses.
