Do we want him? A sub 6’ guard isn’t high on my wish list.
Yes, we want him. I'll take Sanogo over him though. Four years of a legit 6'10" 250 lb rebounding machine with an offense. We haven't had a prospect like him since Calhoun.

He can shoot the rock, great handle, was 2nd in the country in steals. He is terrible finishing at the rim though. Less than 40% from the field.

If he could be willing to take on a smaller role here, I'd sign him up in a second.

Edit: I posted these stays before. From p5/top 25 opponents this season.

vs #7 Maryland: 5/2/4 1/8 FG 1/3 3 FG 2/4 FT 4 TO FT 3 STL
vs Alabama : 22/5/5 8/18 FG 1/4 3FG 5/5 FT 1 TO 4 STL
vs LSU: 26/4/8 8/16 FG 4/7 3FG 6/8 FT 1 TO 3 STL
vs WVU: 32/1/5 14/25 FG 3/4 3FG 1/1FT 3 TO 5 STL
vs Providence: 24/5/8 7/16 FG 4/5 3 FG 6/8 FT 5 TO 2 STL
vs #6 Dayton: 19/2/4 7/18 FG 1/5 3FG 4/7 FT 0 TO 2 STL
vs #3 Dayton: 9/4/4 2/13 FG 0/4 3 FG 5/6 FT 0 TO 2 STL

Averages:

5.4 APG

I don‘t know where he is going and will not pretend to, but I was told that SH was never much of a player here.

I will say that I find the Nebraska stuff.....odd. Odd is never good in recruiting.

are you talking about sanogo? SH isn’t a player?

I don’t think Nebraska was a player for Martin. And Martin has already committed when you posted.

Didn't we had have a 15 pages thread that said Martin mentally checked out and wanted the transfer because Fatts was too much of a ball dominant high usage player and Martin's abilities weren't maximized in URI.

Now you guys are suggesting we bring them both in to play here?

Except they(Fatts and Martin) initiated it. Someone made that up as a reason why he left

From the URI message board:

Several negative comments have been made about Tyrese’s defense......

I found Tyrese fun and interesting to watch on defense. The camera doesn’t catch this on TV, but when you are court side you see how players go at one another

Nobody on URI trash-talks as much as Tyrese, but it is between him and his man on the floor. They talk from a short distance away, sometimes a very short distance. They dint often look at one another, you only see their lips moving much of the time. It’s not so easy to see if you are not looking for it, but it’s definitely there. Tyrese is very intense on his man to man defense and gets in his opponents head. I like that in him.
He doesn’t complain with the Referees much which I really like in players - let the Head Coach handle the referees. He appears to most fans to be quiet on the court and he is also quiet on the bench.
He is an excellent rebounder for a shooting guard (or small forward, 3, 4, wing, whatever anyone wants to call him), but he gets position, uses his size, his determination and his talent to rebound with the best of big men.
I wish he had stayed here, I think he will be missed a lot these next two years and wish him the best wherever he goes, except for one school out of 352 (da fryuzzzzz)

That's if they transfer rule doesn't go through (which we're not expecting now) or a waiver isn't approved (who knows)...

Thanks for clarifying.
