This is true. But again those schools have had a wk to contact him and havent. Maybe just maybe they've moved on
My point is this: Just because they're not actively recruiting him doesn't mean they're not options. It's not like this kid is going to come down to "Well, it's UConn or JuCo for me, so I guess it's UConn."
If it gets to the end of the month and he hasn't made a choice, and announces "hey I'm throwing my name out there for anyone who wants to recruit me," he'll have high-level offers. Not blue bloods, clearly, but good schools that have good academics, get some shine and can put the ball in his hands. I'm sure that last bit will be weighed against our unquestionably good track record of putting PGs into the league (which is, I'm certain, our strongest sell for him).
I don't get it, was he tightest with Miller? I just don't understand how you're not at all interested unless its because hey theres a few great guards there already
That's a good reason to not be interested though, isn't it? The kid thinks he can be Tyler Ulis, so why wouldn't he want to go somewhere who'll give him the chance to show that from Day 1?
To be clear: I hope he picks us, and I hope he lasts here for 3 years before becoming a first-round pick. I think that our track record with PGs is undeniable.
But there are good and real reasons why he'd possibly go elsewhere, and he's right to take his time. We're talking about a decision with his life's work, and millions of dollars, riding on it.
