True or untrue, I would give him 15 shots a game green light and hope he uses it wisely. He's a very good shooter and doesn't take stupid shots. I know a coach won't do that - but give him the three Brimah Glen Miller designed post up possessions we would use to start most games as a starting point. True, some would end in turnovers and not shot attempts but you get my point.

Things Glen Miller is responsible for:

-Gimmick zone D
-Lackluster tours of facilities to recruits
-Brimah's poor FT shooting
-Designing post-ups for Brimah
-Murdering Chief's entire family, apparently

The second one always makes me LOL.

"...and this is the Champions Center. It's okay, I guess. And that's Gampel, but you don't need to see that. You hungry? The Student Union sells food over there, but those lines! I brought us some cheese sandwiches...we can eat here on this bench and then I can show you the new printer in coach Ollie's office. It's a three-in-one."

Now let's talk about that class schedule of yours.....

What about the course catalogs?

Add in a cow tipping session and a Dairy Bar trip and you have a winning slate.

You guys nailed it but I always gave him credit for the tour of facilities, scouting reports and tracking timeouts/fouls. I just said he is not a Bigs Coach or point recruiter.

The course catalog and class schedules should not be on the official visit agenda for the point recruiter. Leave that to the academic advisor and that should be a 5 minute topic. We will put you in the right classes so you can stay eligible and we will give you a piece of paper or let you walk so your mom will think you graduated.

Chief, here's what I don't understand. Since you were clearly on all those campus tours (you had to be, otherwise how could you know with such specificity what was discussed), why didn't you step in and seal the deal so many times?? Is it really YOU that has been our problem in closing these recruits. I think we may have fired the wrong guy!!

Add?
- Sabotaging recruiting
- Encouraging guys to transfer

Meanwhile back at the ranch still waiting on his replacement to fill the sudden surplus of scholarships. I'm sure it will happen soon, but at this point the move is NOT a net positive. Just saying that's all (facts are facts) - no need to rip my head off.

The change was needed. Could it have been managed better? Sure, there was leverage that should have been used that wasn't and as a result some unnecessary damage was done.

as a person who goes to new england hs games how many times have you seen ollie out recruiting VS glenn miller? I can tell you its 10-1 for glenn

Question: I've heard people here say that Waters can't sign with another BE team because he decommitted. Is this true? I thought this was only for transfers? Can someone clarify?

Cobb is the JUCO. Sorry that I got his SEC starting point wrong. Doesn't change the analysis.

Carlton and Diarra have both been stated here as being at the bottom of the Top 100 in various threads here. If that isn't their average -- or they have been misstated here -- that is my fault for, frankly, not caring about rankings. But the points remain -- who are the bigs up and down America East rosters that make Diarra and CArlton ranked where you put him average Am East bigs?

Well...
1. you said Cobb "started" at Auburn/South Carolina... he played 5 min/game and went for 1.1 pts and 1.6rb/game. So that is inaccurate and shaded positively...
2. you characterized both the other players as "top 100" type players, which is inaccurate and shaded positively...
3. To my point: If you think that 3 guys who have never played a college minute(diarra, polley, Carlton) and a guy who played averaged 9/7 at JUCO are going to be dominating America East teams, I'd like to point out that literally THIS YEAR our veteran top-100 frontcourt(Brimah, Facey, Enoch) were dominated. Its a bit coaching, its a bit talent, but who is really looking at the facts and closer to the truth?

At the very least, I think we are equally shaded

Quite frankly, that was Glen's area - KO had recruiting involvement across the country. But, the criticism of Glen's recruiting was he did not close the deal - being there is great - but when you are in the lead you need to get the commit and get him on the court. The longer it goes on the more risk occurs. True, designing the perfectly balance class schedule is nice that meets various academic requirements - but the focus needs to be basketball and the preparation is strength and condition. Hopefully, that improves also.
