Not sure if we were fighting with Florida for anyone. I liked Bonham, seems like a decent get for them (defense the question mark).

Yeah it is a fun league, I wasn't a big Matt Bradley fan though, he's super limited athletically but put up numbers. Man D-Ham's bro at UNLV had some big games these past few years. Not the most efficient guy but pretty nice.
I never knew that Bryce was Daniel Hamilton's cousin. Interesting.

A day full of old UConn targets

I’ve always been a Rocket stan (don’t even know why at this point), but hear me out…

If we’re looking for a guy willing to come off the bench as another ball handler, does Rocket make sense as a possible low risk, reclamation project?

No.

He can't shoot at all so no he doesn't really make much sense here

Rocket is pretty good. You could have far worse backup PGs. He’s also a great change of pace player. Perfect to put in a game in which we start slow or need more penetration.

He's a career 26.8% 3 PT shooter, 45% on 2's, doesn't really bring much else to the game, and was a minor rotation piece on a mediocre Miss. St. team this past season. He's definitely not a good player. Feels like he needs to drop down to a lower level.

Not sure if posted somewhere else, but below is an excerpt from an article on The Athletic, “Evaluating the best fits from the college basketball transfer portal”. Newton to UConn is ranked 2 out of 20, behind only Brandon Murray to Georgetown:

And as far as Murray to Georgetown goes, what doesn’t fit when there’s nothing in the cupboard?

We’ve been threatening to speed things up for a while lol

Windsor HS kid. Not a great shooter at Duquesne so idk if we'll pursue. But he's a very solid player.

We need players who are willing to sit on the bench and give their best shot to winning playing time. Maybe he would be one of them.
