If Cole didn’t play for his father and if Dan Hurley didn’t know RJ what are the chances he comes to UConn. I realize that he went to JCs camp but without the connection, you may wonder. Glad he did

Relationships are huge in this sport and the Hurleys’ connections definitely did not hurt.

But also, as you said, RJ was coming to Calhoun’s UConn camp as a youngster and considered it his dream school, so that did not hurt either.

Plenty of portal talent if he thinks he can play in the League.. Don't know if Portsmouth is toe in the water for feedback for him or if he's committed to going pro ..

As Jamie Shaw states here, Slater is tweeting from South Carolina. Shaw uses the #subtle in his tweet. What does that mean you ask? POTENTIALLY it means that we are getting a recruit from Carolina (I know ECU is in North Carolina but whatever).

Why should we care about what Jamie Shaw says? We’ll he is also a recruiting expert.

Not completely the same situations. Ramey isn’t a texas kid, he’s from St Louis Area, Newton is from El Paso who went to play college ball in Carolina.

Davis is a Houston kid born & raised who opted to stay local at TCU & SMU. Not calling it an impossible situation, but I’d be shocked if he left state
