They also completely ignored launch angle as part of the analysis and gave an example of Oneil Cruz's hit which obviously didn't have the launch angle to leave the yard. I said who cares...Bregman's ball went deep into the Crawford boxes for 3 runs, Judges's ball was easily caught by Tucker in right for zero runs. Boone and Sevy chose to whine about it, Judge didn't.

Clearly Boone and Cashman have to go but Judge does as well. You simply can't commit to the largest/longest contract in baseball for an injury prone guy who always sucks in the playoffs and strikes out constantly.

They mostly have the pitching which they can shore up with that money. Build around your young guys and use the money to get more guys who can make contact with the ball.

Did feel bad for Cliffy knowing he wasted some pretty good money to head down for that debacle.

They need to clean house after this post season, new manager and also maybe more importantly a new hitting coach and new pitching coach, and a new trainer. I don’t know what the stats actually are but it seems the Yankee hitters are hitting more foul pop ups and more fair pop ups than any MLB team in history. As for Judge, how does a guy who hit 62 this year go into the worst post season slump in history. As for pitching it’s almost as bad, they give up more home runs in key spots than anyone. Even Cole gave up 35 home runs alone during the regular season, and as a team it seems like they give up more walks and get behind in the count than any team in the majors.

No doubt. You need a strike out in that situation and Trevino doesn’t have the ability to do that more than Cole. And by the way the base hit by Gurriel was an excuse me swing so it’s not like he still didn’t have something left in the tank.

And I am sure he doesn’t put the lineup together without Cashmans input. To not have IKF on the field due to the fact he’s at least hitting .270 in the playoffs was putrid. Cabrera is 2 for 25 and Donaldson has been beyond pathetic. Put a hitter in the lineup please. But hey they got 3 hits not bad for this squad.

Boone isn’t good but given the pattern of teams Cashman puts together hard to manage as there’s few answers to be had. Quite honestly if Judge doesn’t have the year of a lifetime they don’t even make the playoffs. Then he doesn’t hit and you see what you have, an awful roster which is easy to pitch to. Painful

I don’t know. Seemed to me one guy hit a long out. The other hit a home run. Launch angle, velocity, any other metric you want to apply is less important than the fact that 1 was an out and the other was a home run. Though I guess I could be wrong about that.

Real fans don’t want a bunch of thumpers at all. A few guys who can approach the .280-.300 mark with a few guys who can thump or drive someone in.

The science people said that Bergman’s homer doesn’t leave the park unless the roof is open and wouldn’t have been a HR anywhere else. I honestly don't know what to think. If DJ and Benintendi were healthy, the lineup and defense would look very different: two professional hitters who can set the table...last night's lineup could have looked like Benintendi, Judge, Stanton (Dan Hurley), Rizzo, Torres, DJ, Bader, Cabrera, Trevino.

My biggest worry with Boone is that he's almost puppet to analytics department that is ruining the Yankees. I'm a math teacher, numbers are good, but I want a manager that uses numbers to the team's advantage when appropriately...I just feel Boone does whatever the numbers tell him to do, even when the analytical advantage isn't that strong.

So far the series with Houston is a disaster. A complete pathetic performance by a Yankee team.

Michael Kay has opened the door. This may be the start.

This starts at the top. Brian Cashman has to go. Senior VP and General Manager hired in 1986. Assistant GM hired in 2001. Assistant GM Michael Fishman hired in 2005. VP of Baseball Operations Tim Naehring hired in 2007. VP of Domestic Scouting Operations Damon Openheimer hired in 2001. VP of Player Development Kevin Reese in 2007.

What has this group produced - not much. This is the executive team that built the present version of the Yankees. Too much reliance on analytics. No feel for the game. They should all be let go - fired. They have been too long in their jobs and I would say too comfortable.

Boone and the entire coaching staff should be fired within a week of the Yanks loosing the series to Houston. I believe the series is over tonight.

The big question is does Hal Steinbrenner have the balls to get it done. Sad to say, I don't think so.

Totally agree but teams have injuries let’s be honest they’re missing Brantley too a real good hitter but still find a way. DJ hasn’t been right for 2 years hopefully he comes back as well as Benetendi but it doesn’t excuse this pitiful effort and the roster which our GM left Boone with. I know other blame Boone he’s 2nd in that line for me. You don’t get rid of Cashman and his moves you continue to stroll into the playoffs with no shot. Let’s see if Hal has a sack like George?
