Nah as I said overrated. He was solid with garbage cans and cameras though I agree. It’s not the manager it’s crappy hitters and baseball players. But feel free to jack off on the guy 15 games back of an awful team lol
You said similar about Francona.

Find that I have a much higher opinion of him than Cora. Please find it I’d like to see the timing of that to figure it out.

Omg 4 runs that feels like a lot lol.
Good vibes today.

Got to wear my vintage 1994 Paul O'Neill shirt today (the one I wear to every Yankees game I attend), watch the ceremony and game and now feeling good entering the week back to school.

Let's keep this going!

Fun fact none of you will care about: Mercurial Pirates prospect Oneil Cruz was named after his father's favorite player: Paul O'Neill.

Poor pitch recognition, can't hit an MLB curve.

That said, we're hoping it's just rookie adjustment. He's basically a tad below where Strawberry was after his first 200 PAs. Straw was hitting .200 with 9 dingers. He got a lot better in the last couple of months, finishing at .258 with 20+ HRs. However, he had a month+ head start over Cruz as Straw was activated in early May and Cruz not till mid-June.

Benetendi swinging it well, went down and got a great location pitch from Scherzer to drive in IKF. Nice to see Judge swing it better a couple times.

Too bad for German on the dropped pop up, he deserved better.

Hey mau!! You see Montgomery tonight?

Complete game 1-hitter in a pressurized 1-0 win. Too bad he wasn't a Cashman guy.

I have a laundry list of complaints about that trade. One item is, if having a superior defensive center fielder is that important to the team, why wasn't Florial (who is a considerably better center fielder than Hicks) playing CF the days Judge was in right (or dh)? At worst Florial's offense would have been slightly worse than Hicks.

Don't get me wrong, I think we're going to love Bader, but in St. Looey they are high-fiving and laughing.

Was going to post the same but you beat me to it about Monty.

My guy early in the year, JP Sears, is also pitching well post trade…

And Gallo is batting something like .260 with 3 dongs and a bunch of RBIs since his trade.

It’s really crazy how a change of scenery can revitalize players especially when they leave the pressure cooker of NY…

I know they are.

Back to my original point (which I believe illustrates a far deeper issue); why has Hicks received the number of opportunities that he has while others have never been given a real chance?

Maybe that's why he didn't enjoy NY. Wasn't getting enough dongs.

Cashman is a Hicks guy. An asset he can't take failure in. A weird Yankee Pride thing.

That's exactly it. Cashman loves picking up guys off the scrap heap and if they over perform briefly he latches onto them forever. My guess is that he thinks it shows everyone how smart he is.
