Yes he was, he was admiring his not quite HR. The thing is if he was watching the left fielder (as he should have) rounding first, he never would have attempted second. The first miscue was arrogance/laziness. The second was not paying attention to what happened in front of him.Wasn't he slow out of the box?
And I'm sick of him booting a ball at third and then tapping his chest (implying 'my error'). No s#!t it's your error and there are far too many of them. He's making it nearly impossible for Michael Kaye to claim how superior a defensive third baseman he is to justify the acquisition.
Finally, for the first time in my life (when he took exception to a high inside fastball against Tampa) I wanted to see a Yankee charge the mound and get his ass kicked.
