I've been jabbing at Jones for 3+ years now (Maybe closer to 5). Now, I kinda feel bad for him though. This is Schoen and Dabol trying to keep their jobs beyond New Years.

Something in me feels like the Giants did him dirty.

Do him dirty how he had 6 years here, 3 HC and 2 GMs.

Sure, they gave him a lot of money. Then they had to play cap games and restructure Jones shortly after he signed his contract for cap relief.

Mac Jones was a pro bowl rookie. Then 3 OCs later he, and he is backing up Trevor Lawrence. Patriots did him dirty too.

They resigned him for big money. That's doing right by him. He was never any good.

Said no Giant fan here when they reset the market after he played merely adequately vs. the Vikings in the 2022 Playoffs.

More than a few here had Giant blue-colored glasses on in terms of the new contract.

Because a bunch of guys ranked higher didn't go, wasn't it? Mac was a clubhouse lawyer. He was never any good either. The future will tell. The Jets did Geno Smith dirty and now he's a top QB. I doubt these two guys ever become starters again.

Mac would have developed further under another year of Josh McDaniels. He was hired by the Raiders and Belichick brought back two non-offensive coaches to coordinate the offense. Mac regressed. Surprise, Surprise.

BTW, say what you will about how Mac made the Pro Bowl, DJ never "went to Honalulu (modestly showing my age)." Replacement or otherwise.

Mac regressed under Bill O'Brien too, he was good as a rookie then the league figured him out when there was more film on him. Rick Mirer had a good rookie year then the league figured him out. Daniel Jones was also a better teammate and leader than Mac Jones.

The Mara's had this notion that Daniel Jones and they stupidly continued believing he could be Eli.
