Do you think the stud is in this years draft? If not trade the pick and draft O line.
Yes I do, I want Shedeur Sanders he's everything this franchise needs. They need a leader who will force change and who can handle the spotlight. The line isn't good but it has improved you can still address the line the rest of the draft.

Erick Flowers and Evan Neal were 1st rd busts btw, any move you make is a risk. You have a top 2 pick you need to take a qb, it's not a reach Sanders and Ward are projected to be in the top 2, and a Raiders win today puts Giants in very good position for the number 1 pick.

Sanders and Ward would not be top 10 picks in last years draft. I think they should tank another year and go to 26

We almost definitely will draft Watd or Sanders and possible end up on the three year treadmill the Jets saw with Darnold and Wilson.
The Giants and Jets have the same problem and it's not even at field level on Sundays. Both of their problems sit above the mezzanine.

I hate professional sports it's just so stupid to be in this position. NFL really does need a lottery system more then any other sport.

Nah. NBA needs it most because no one football player has close to the impact as a star In the NBA. There’s no obvious guy this year anyway. Pats currently at #1 and there isn’t anybody in this draft worth the pick.

NFL needs it the most because it's fewer games, one week has huge implications on the draft and playoff picture, if let's say a team who loses in week 17 gets the number 1 pick vs a team who needs to win getting homefield in playoffs or a team needing to win to get into the playoffs.

Think of the ratings if you had the draft lottery on let's say a Thursday or Friday night the week of the pro bowl.

My brother and I are both love long Giants fans and went to our first ever game at the Meadowlands yesterday. Was such a fun game to watch in person. Giants scored in a variety of ways and showed that they are capable. Nabers and Tracy becoming one of a few rookie pairs to gain 1000yds from scrimmage was cool to see.

Not bothered by the win as there are several capable veteran QBs poised to hit the open market that can be a stop gap until a viable young QB is brought in.

Curious as to who. Cap casualties notwithstanding, nearly every 2025 FA is a back-up, and while I can't see Cleveland re-signing Winston, slim pickings remain otherwise. None of whom scare DCs worth their salt. Also, I don't think anyone wants to play in metro New York just because it's New York.

Darnold is rumored to be re-signed in MN. Trey Lance couldn't beat out Cooper Rush once Dak went down (Both of whom are FA). Brissette will be working in his 4th offense in as many years and is not a viable bridge for more than a month or so...if that.

It looks to me that the Giants' options are basically re-sign Drew Lock, Marcus Mariota (unless he reups with WSH), Justin Fields, Jameis Winston, or Mac Jones.

Draftwise, the Giants are now in a draft slot where picking a QB is not a wild notion. NE is set at QB and there is a lot of smoke around Travis Hunter. I could also see them picking a tackle or trying to trade back. On the other hand, Will Levis has demonstrated that he is probably not the guy in Tenn. CLE is also in the market for a young QB as they attempt to reset their salary cap. So the Giants are still 3rd in line. If Cam Ward PFF-19) and Shedeur Sanders (PFF-29) are off the board, would the Giants overdraft Jalen Milroe or Dillon Gabriel by a round and a half? They have a lot of holes, but (like the Patriots) need a trading partner to move back. If they stay where they are I see them taking an OT.

If Darnold signs with Minnesota, there's a chance they put JJ McCarthy on the market (my guess is they won't until he comes back healthy). Fields may still be worth a shot. We Patriots fans are hoping one of Giants/Titans/Browns/Raiders is willing to trade up. Hunter is good, but not at #1. Jets need a QB too. Going to be interesting. Carson Beck is worth a day two gamble.

Couldn't disagree more. Taking a QB at 4 would be certifiably insane

Many may disagree but (as long as they don't trade back into the top spot and give up additional premium draft picks) I am not upset about yesterday's outcome.

I have serious reservations on the two QBs (who are the only QBs projected to be first round picks) and I don't believe the situation with the Giants at the moment can develop someone who would be thrown into the fire immediately.

There are a couple (not Beck) kids who should last until the third round who may develop, but if greater importance, the Giants aren't in a position where they can take a stab, using a premium pick to hope they get a QB. Build out the defense, get a couple more players on offense this year, bring in a short term vet QB, then look at next year's QB class.

Having basically nothing to show for ten of their last twelve first round draft picks is why they are at the bottom of the league.

maybe a blessing but Cox all week showed Giants-Eagles on CBS at 1pm but just changed to the Patriots-Bills.

Eagles are gonna let the Giants win today, they are scumbags like that. It's the Giants own damn fault though for being so stupid screwing up prime position to getting the number 1 pick. Giants also would've had the top pick in every round I believe.

How could anybody be optimistic that the Giants are gonna get this right.

Looks like it’s gonna be best player available at 3, Tennessee and Cleveland both need QBs. Would be happy with Hunter, elite talent on both sides of the ball. Hopefully we can sign a decent QB.

And now it comes out that the Shedeur Sanders may not even be a 1st round level QB, let alone top 5 pick material.

Then again, even though he won the Heisman, Jayden Daniels seemingly came out of nowhere to be the 2nd pick and probably ORoY.

The draft is still a long way off.

Why would the Giants want Hunter with Nabers already in the fold? Wouldn’t that be an awful lot of money invested in a WR and WR/CB?

I think it depends on where he's rated as a CB (Pratty darned good, so I hear). Getting a lockdown corner can transform a pass defense. On the other hand, rare is the rookie corner who comes into the league as a shutdown. It typically takes a season or two. If he's going to primarily be split out wide, I agree. Look somewhere else. The Giants have the "luxury" of having needs all over the field.
