Barring injury, there is very little evidence to supporting Danny Dimes returns to the Giants next season and the more he plays, the longer he's going to have to stretch the $80Mil he's already pocketed. The only reason Jones is playing now is his contract, but what's the difference? The Giants have to pay him anyway. Ironically, the more he plays the higher the chance he gets hurt, which triggers more guaranteed money, if not significantly hampers the team's ability to get out from under that albatross of a deal.
Earlier in the season, I said he was playing for a backup role on another team. At this point, he'll be lucky to be signed as an Emergency 3rd QB, which is actually more unlikely due to PS ineligibility.
The Giants are not making the playoffs and there is no downside at this point to turn to play Drew Lock...starting in Week 10 of course (with Washington coming to town.).
