Sunday Games Thread

LSU up 44-36 over Alabama with 2 minutes left in Q3.the game is a bit of a snoozer.

LSU has a point guard who’s 5-4, Jaelyn Richard-Harris. She’s pretty good but she looks tiny on the court

29-13 Stanford after Q1. Alanna Smith has 15 already.
 
Wow, Sabally is trying to one up Smith. She has 18 in Q1 and UO leads 31-4!

I think Tenn suffers the same issue that UConn runs into-Teams “get up” to Play them as I am watching LSU Alabama and the TIDE do not look particularly great.

Alabama lost to Tulsa this year. Pretty much enough said.

Wazzu making a bit of a come back. This looks similar to the Friday game. Huge early lead for Stanford, then they hit a bit of a lull before really blowing it wide open.
 
Stanford is stinking it up in Q2. 2 points in about 4 minutes

They aren’t horrible but MSU isn’t going to have to worry about either of those teams
 
36-21 Stanford 4:50 of Q2. Smith has 20. Her teammates need to wake up.
 
Ionescu is doing the opposite of Friday. Only 2 points but already 9 rebounds and 7 assists midway thru Q2. Sabally has 21, 5-6 behind the arc.

edit--she'll get her points eventually, I think you can pretty much chalk up another triple double

Not the Miami-UNC game. Miami is up 46-28 about 3 minute into Q3

Ooo, Mompremier took a cheap shot at a UNC big, swinging her arm to whack the kid in the throat. It was called a flagrant 1.
 
Mompremier got blocked and had some words to say. She’d better be careful.

Even with 2 foul shots and the ball, UNC can’t make up any ground, now down 52-30

UNC is a bad basketball team

The 'Furd is just playing sloppy. Unforced TOs. Committed a foul on an inbounds when there was only 5 seconds on the shot clock, just silly. Cougs aren' really taking advantage of it though. 38-22 1:44 left in Q2.
 
Smith has a double double in the first half! 24 points 10 boards, 10-13 from the floor. Yeah, she good.
 
Looks like Indiana is going down again. Purdue up 3 w/ 1 second left.
 
44-26 Stanford at halftime. They kinda hit the snooze button in Q2. Smith is doing her thing and Williams has 9 but the rest of the team is taking a rest day.

Not that it excuses bad behavior.... but Mompremier is playing with a heavy heart. Her father unexpectedly passed away the week before last (she missed the game vs Clemson) ... and Im sure she is still struggling with it.
 
Don't look now but I think Purdue is in 2nd place in the Big (Maryland and Iowa could be tied w/ them pending their games).
 
Patberg goes 1-12 in the loss. I can start to see why her and Boley transferred from ND a couple of years ago. Both Patberg and Boley are chuckers, and ND only has room for one chucker lol. Although Arike is the far better player (chucker) than both.
 
Rutgers takes care of Michigan State, 76-62. Stasha Carey (Pitt transfer) with a career-high 30 points. Arella Guirantes (Texas Tech transfer) with 19. Ciani Cryor had 12 assists. Rutgers moves to 7-0 in Big Ten play.
 
Georgia Tech up 55-52 on Syracuse...2 minutes left.
 
I think Boley got it out of her system early in the season at UO. Her shot attempts are way down now. She's clearly option #4 behind Ionescu, Hebard and Sabally. It should've been that way from the beginning, but she was a little confused to start things off.
