Sunday Games Thread

NC State survives what figures to be its toughest game in the month of January. Next up are Clemson, GaTech, Wake Forest and UNC. After that the true tests begin: road games at Florida State and Syracuse, followed by a home game vs. Notre Dame.
 
Virginia Tech, meanwhile, is in desperate need of some wins. They do have a win over Rutgers, which is looking a lot better now than it did in December. But they're now 0-5 in ACC play. They now move into the softer part of their schedule, starting with home games against Florida State and UNC.
 
Penn State is giving Maryland yet another difficult game. Just two weeks ago they played in Happy Valley, where it was a close game until 4Q. Maryland started off strong in this game, but Penn State has stormed back to tie it at 29 in 2Q.
 
Watching LSU vs Alabama in the SEC Network. LSU is up 33-25 with 1:24 left in the first half. Kayla Pointer is pretty much most of LSUs scoring

Much like Kiah at FSU, Leslie has been one hell of a transfer pick-up for NC State.
 
So....anybody notice that Maryland's 21-9 early lead has evaporated and they are now trailing Penn St. 35-31? 1:09 til halftime.
 
Tied at 35 at halftime. FG shooting by quarter for PSU--Q1-19% Q2-63%
 
Rutgers up 9 at halftime over Michigan St.
 
Apparently Penn St.'s leading scorer sat out the first quarter for disciplinary reasons.

Louisville cruised to a 24 point win even w/ Durr having a very subpar game--8 points on 3-12 shooting.

Shoulda seen A’ja’s face when they asked her how Tennessee could turn itself around. I won’t say incredulous but it was close
 
I find it surprising no one's mentioned the AAC battle on ESPNU between Houston and Wichita State :)

Switched to UNC vs Miami. Miami leading 32-18 in Q2 with 6:21 left in the half.

Holy Hannah, UNC plays like they’re a pack of squirrels in the middle of the road
 
Tara is going for her 900th win at Stanford today. Odds are good she'll get it, hosting Wazzu.

Rutgers has built a 12-point lead midway through 4Q. They're holding Michigan State to under 30% FG.
 
Wow, Hristova has quite the shiner. Rocking the goggles today. Apparently it's from a collision with a teammate during practice.

I know UConn has never lost a game in the AAC, which is amazing. Stanford has never lost to Washington St., and they've been playing for a bunch of years. 63-0.
 
Beatrice Mompremier (transferred from Baylor to Miami) hasn’t really improved since leaving Baylor. She still seems rather raw but, boy, she has a lot of natural ability

19-5 Stanford 6 minutes in, all 5 starters have scored. Precise offense, they look good.
 
Oregon has jumped out to a 12-0 lead. Both of these early games out west might be laughers.

Yikes. It's 20-0 now. Arizona needs to wake up.
 
23-2 Oregon over Arizona and 25-5 Stanford over Wazzu.
