I'm sure Tremont will make the right choice for himself when that time comes. His IQ is off the charts. Regardless, I'm beyond happy to have one of the more underrated players in the class in Enoch.

Enoch man...He's so tall and athletic he doesn't know how to use his body yet. He looks like he's making no effort jumping yet his head ends up 4 inches above the rim. His upside is crazy.

Soft hands and a lefty jump hook. That will get him far.

Live from center court at half time?

Thanks for heads up on this as alot of were wondering if he might sign with UCLA. LOL. Seriously thanks for the info!

4. After missing various events during the summer due to injury, Connecticut signee Steven Enoch (No. 98) had a disappointing weekend in New Haven. The ESPN 100 prospect had 7 points and 1 rebound on Friday, then followed it up with 1 point and 2 rebounds in 19 minutes on Saturday. Enoch didn't play aggressively and was invisible for long stretches.

The interesting wrinkle could come if Connecticut lands five-star center Diamond Stone (No. 6) in the spring. The Huskies would have six power forward/center-types. Last winter, it looked as though Enoch would have to reclassify to 2016 -- but then he had a big spring and his recruitment blew up. That conversation could come up again if the Huskies get Stone.

Maybe he redshirts then, but that group of six contains a fair amount of flotsam. I'm not worried.

No. This team needs all the help it can get.

This is in the hypothetical world where we land Diamond Stone and everybody else comes back. Next year's frontcourt would then include Stone, the junior year versions of Brimah and Facey, Hamilton in small lineups, plus whatever we get from Nolan and Lubin. How many minutes are available for Enoch (or even Nolan/Lubin for that matter) if that's what the roster looks like? You'd see plenty of Stone/Brimah together, plenty of Hamilton at stretch four, and plenty of Facey, who we should all be high on after last night.

If that scenario becomes a reality and Enoch's agreeable to an extra year of development, it's a no-brainer.

I don't think you'd see much of Hamilton at the 4 in this scenario. I'd imagine that the majority of the frontcourt minutes would go to Brimah/Stone/Facey with spot play from Brimah and Lubin. Maybe Enoch redshirts then, but I'd like to see how well he asserts himself upon arrival first. His skillset is unique among that group of players.

He's not going to reclassify. But he's not going to contribute much more than Facey did as a freshman, which is just fine.

Let's see how the rest of the year goes no reason to even worry about this stuff right now! Could be a kid from Norwalk uncomfortable with the new environment, who knows?

That's an interesting prediction. Could be right or wrong. Judging a guy by a couple of games coming off an injury is tough He won't suit up as a Husky for a year. That a long time for an 18 year old.

No need to panic on Enoch. He blew up last year against tough competition, got hurt, and probably hasn't gotten his groove back, or more likely, may be a little complacent now that he has his offer and LOI intact. He reads ESPN articles and knows he didn't play well. Hopefully this motivates him to play harder/improve/get healthy. In any event, he will get his in shape this summer. I have to imagine being a local kid he will be on campus all summer with the guys, getting ready for the season. Then come traning camp, he will learn how to run and throw up. A lot. If Amidah is back next year, Enoch can be an understudy at 4-5, and may not be needed much anyways. Facey will be back. Nolan will be a senior. Lubin may be Enoch's main competition for minutes as a back-up 4-5, looking at 10 minutes or so per game.
