Just saw this. I watched Tyler Kolek play when he was in 6th grade. I was a coach of my daughter's team and he was a year older and playing in a tournament our school hosted. He played on a team with guys 2-3 years older than him and was the best player on the team. Incredible court awareness, passing, spacing, anticipation. His dad was a prolific DIII player.

Kenya Hunter was a big reason why he went to Indiana after his dad passed away at UT Martin. Definitely an unfortunate situation.

I don’t think we reached out to him at the time, but Javonte was probably still on the team at the time, so we might not have had the room.

Let's hope DH has back channels 10 times removed and is "recruiting" some real shooters from other schools looking for better exposure.

Maybe I'm cynical but when a coveted player enters the transfer portal I'm thinking it mostly for "cover"

I'm assuming many have already been contacted by program reps and they know where they are going.

Of course prior existing relationships play a big role as well.

Kellan Grady certainly sounds like a perfect fit.

3. KELLAN GRADY, G, DAVIDSON

2020-21 stats: 17.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.

Bossi’s take: You know what doesn’t grow on trees? Dudes who have scored over 2,000 points, dished out nearly 250 assists and grabbed over 450 rebounds for a program as well coached as Davidson. Shooting guard Kellan Grady is a potential dream come true for a contender in need of a proven shooter with size, experience and some serious credentials.

Just look at Grady’s career, he’s a model of consistency. His 34.4 minutes per game as a senior were the fewest he played during his career and he was either a first or second team All-Atlantic 10 performer during each of his four years of college. A former top 70 player in high school, he looks to be about as can’t miss a transfer prospect as there is.

Big Guard Alert:

Nebraska guard Teddy Allen is on the grad transfer market.

6'6 223, 16.5p, 49.7 2p%, 37.6 3p%, ~40 FGAs are 3s, 4.7r, 1.3s.

Also, Monmouth grad transfer Melik Martin:

6'6 200, 12.5p, 5.7r, 1.5s, 39.7 3p% (about 30% of shot attempts from 3).
Teddy is a HUGE pass. Talented kid who can’t get out of his way. Quit on Nebraska too this season before the end.

WVU->Wichita, arrested-> JuCo->Nebraska->TBD

Cross Tyson Walker off the list:

Kansas has to be a longshot. Likely going to get hit with heavy sanctions and dump Bill Self according to my sources. @Fishy will be pleased.

I thought we already decided this...yup, he's the one.

As an aside, it is alarming to look at the shooting percentage of so many of these transfer portal guys.. It's probably safe to say that these players generally feel underutilized on their existing teams or are looking to share their skills to a wider audience. Regardless, their 3pt percentages are so much better than most, if not all of our guys.

Yes, serious. Got a text about it yesterday. Widespread LOIC, vacated wins, postseason ban etc.

Wow. Not saying it doesn't appear to be deserved, but I figured guys like Miller and Self were gonna skate since nothing appears to be happening with Will Wade.
