Last year, it was blindingly easy to see - bad roster construction, point guard by committee didn't pan out, etc.
Honestly, this year, I think it's more like the January malaise that we had during Dan Hurley's first title. It's not the easiest system to learn and all of the moving parts have not learned their parts yet.
There's a little bit of some players being too similar rather than being complimentary and Tarris is not what Sanogo and Clingan were. (Reibe will be.) The ball tends to stick to some players in a way that it doesn't when our offense is going well and it sticks to the wrong player way too often.
I don't think we're as good as Arizona or Michigan or maybe even Duke - we were earlier in the season, but haven't moved up with 'em. I'm not worried about it - I fully expect that we're gonna get absolutely smoked in the next ten days or so and that'll be the poke to get them back on track.
I think the Yard also has a January malaise. And I think the key to our offensive success is Silas taking over the team as the alpha. When he realizes he drives the Ferrari we’ll get there.
