PAC dysfunction

Washington and Washington State have agreed to a 5 year extension of the Apple Cup:

2024 - Neutral Site Game @ Lumen Field in Seattle
2025 - @ Washington State
2026 - @ Washington
2027 - @ Washington State
2028 - @ Washington

With Washington playing Washington State and presumably Oregon playing Oregon State in future years, would these count as "Power Conference" matchups, or will these 2 matchups also be regulated to Power Conference vs. random G5 opponent as well?

Will any Power Conference school playing Washington State or Oregon State in the future be seen as the equivalent of playing Ball State, Temple, Wyoming, North Texas or New Mexico State?

That depends on future performane...Wazzu has lost 7 of their last 8 games (they did beat Deion's team in that stretch).

They could end up being regarded as a San Diego State type program if performance lags....

.-.
NIL now a bidding war...I hear a million...two, two..I have two from the man in orange and green...do I hear three?

.-.
Looks like the PAC 2 temporarily bought games...$14 million to the Mountain West to schedule six games with them.

I imagine an eventual merger will have to come.

Would seem preferable to separate the wheat from chaff if they can. (Eg Hawaii Wyoming New Mexico). Exit fees were too high this year but do they go down ?

Wyoming is a pretty good program.

I was waiting for someone to chime in with such nonsense.

They have NO population and NO brand recognition. But yeah, other than that, a great addition to any conference.

Pac 2 and MWC scheduling agreement. What is that, a win-win, lose-lose, win-lose? I can't tell

How about a conference of
OSU
WSU
SDSU
Boise
San Jose
Fresno State
Air Force
Colorado State

Min of two from the following
UNLV
New Mexico
Utah State
UN Reno
Wyoming

BB only
Gonzaga
St Marys’s

Football only
UConn

That becomes a decent BB conference

Unfortunately, it only makes sense if you are a UConn guy.

Why do you think I added UConn?
Want to work for the PAC-12 Conference?

"We do not currently have any open jobs. Please check back later."

Nevermind.
I’m applying for Director of acquisitions. 11 years of experience on the Boneyard CR board , I should be a slam dunk hire.

Oregon vs. Oregon State is now finalized to continue annually. This one took some work including getting other opponents to change dates of games, and even trading opponents amongst themselves...........

Oregon @ Oregon State Sept. 14 - scheduled

Texas Tech @ Oregon Sept. 7 - cancelled
Texas Tech @ Washington State Sept. 7 - scheduled

Washington State @ San Diego State Sept. 7 - cancelled
Washington State @ San Diego State later in the season - scheduled

Boise State @ Oregon Sept. 14 - cancelled
Boise State @ Oregon State Sept. 7 - cancelled
Boise State @ Oregon Sept. 7 - scheduled

I'm surprised the PAC-12 (Oregon State/Washington State) would agree to this. Looks like the USC, UCLA, Oregon and Washington Spring Games will air on BTN if this gets finalized............
