Just curious: do these student-athletes get punished at all? Not defending Pitino but it takes two to tango.

They won't be allowed to play and if any played previously, after all it is unlikely this is the first time it happened, UL will be required to vacate any wins. And they absolutely should be banned from the college game. First off it is unlikely Boen didn't know what was going on. Second even if he didn't, and all transactions wentvthrough his parents, a huge if by the way, it sends a pretty clear message to parents that you do this st your peril and your kid's. Plus while the Feds have so far only picked up assistant coaches it is illegal to accept a bribe too. It isn't out of the realm of possibility that Bowen will be playing for Pitino in the Federal Correctional Conference at some point. I hear Fort Dix vs Danbury is a huge game.

Pitino is so sleazy that he undoubtedly has a few big donors/admin in his back pocket with corresponding dirt implicating them. He's gotten away with so much that I can somehow envision him surviving anything. Realistically I think he uses the dirt he has on others as hush motivation for a golden parachute with $ and minimizing legacy staining implications.
