OT: Pitino pool

I went to the last Louisville game at Gampel. Had a few beers before the game and called Pitino every name in the book. An elderly lady in my row asked me not to return the rest of the season. I did the next game and all the games after and never saw her again. I told an old coach this story and he laughed.

I used to cut through this lady's yard in middle school.

When she saw us, she would yell.

When we got to high school, we didn't cut the yard anymore. I told my aunt this story and he laughed.

There’s no question that he’s finished as a basketball coach.

So....when does he ride the lightning? Where’s Nuzzi? Can we make this into a pool?

I say that he’s 50/50 to survive until dinner time.
I have no clue about Pitino getting fired but this is the same Rick Pitino who survived the hooker scandal. He is the Teflon Don of coaching but Nelson may have it right: already fired. A windfall bonus would be if Calipari's name popped up during the FBI's next press release.

At what point does Slick Rick just decide to throw in the towel? He makes Jerry Tarkanian look clean.

He doesn't have a choice, Pitino and Jurich are done.

Yep, releasing this statement through his personal lawyer and not the school tells us all we need to know. I was generous on my Friday resignation prediction.

I'm curious as to who the other coaches and schools are involved in this addidas money scheme.

I have the feeling this is just the tip of the iceberg. I wonder how the NCAA is going to deal with shoe companies and recruiting.

Just curious: do these student-athletes get punished at all? Not defending Pitino but it takes two to tango.

This man is scum, just a matter of when he's done

I hope so, but I will believe it when I see it. It’s a very corrupt system with a lot of dead bodies buried by people in power.

This is just awesome, too bad Calipari is not involved.

If this goes into past seasons would not the teams forfeit wins if they had a non amateur (someone who took money)?

"We've determined that every division 1 program except the University of Connecticut was involved in this scandal, so we have awarded UConn the 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2016 national championships". Maybe that dream is a little bit much.
