OT: Giants

The pass rush was great? The defense in the first half? Kickoff out of bounds? But the officials cooked this game too.

Have they actually questioned whether the Panthers even made the 1st down prior to Newton spiking the ball? I mean that was too damn close to call without a review in the final minute, Giants may have held. I watched it and slowed it down a few times it was 50-50 so if the call on the field was first down then it would've been upheld.

Hey Giants aren't a good team but a win would've been nice. They got screwed didn't get a 50-50 call and refs missed a few they called in them.

Didn't even read all the quotes til now. But wow. He really is out there. And I don't generally hate on OBJ at all; I enjoy watching him play. Sounds like he think's he's the entire offense.

He’s out of his mind. All you have to do is watch him on the sidelines. He’s in his own world. Great talent but not right in the head.

Shame, cause the guy is absolutely electric on the field. Must see TV type.

It's one of those things you hope he grows out of before his talent fades, but idk.

What the hell is FOX and Jolina Anderson allowing the interview with that freak Lil' Wayne sitting there? Shame on them who cares about him nodding his head next to OBJ, I thought it was a joke?

So was the dropped 3rd down catch and the muffed punt he had which gave them a TD. Oh what am I thinking those are on Eli too.

You shouldn't call people freaks, also Lil Wayne knows way more about sports than you do.
 
Another little humorous note from the radio broadcast. I think Carl Banks may want to look up the definition of literally. I heard him say that someone "literally dropped the hammer" on someone. Also after a Barkley run he said "he was literally a joystick on that run".

Just an awful contract. He is essentially the opposite of everything the Giants are supposed to stand for.

I understand it was hard to do anything but sign him - but he is going to be a ten year headache.
 
As I've noted on here and the football board countless times, I despise how they handle replay in sports. It's overused, slows down the game and half the time, they still get it wrong.

How they didn't check the measurement on the 3rd and short with McCafferey is beyond me. As someone else said, I thought Cam may have been dumb enough to have spiked it on 4th and short.

How with under 2 mins to go, they didn't flag that for a review - when to me - he clearly looked short, defies the whole purpose of replay.
 
The game wasn't on in my part of the land. Just read the game summary on DirectTV application on the TV. My opinion only, we can talk stats all day. It seems to me, that every game but one, the Gmen seemed to pull off one, just one bonehead play a game. Doesn't matter if it is in the first quarter or last, there is always one. The traditional tipped pass for a TD. Yesterdays fumble punt fumble for 6. I forget his name Number 15. Last quarter a chance for a comeback and fumbles the kick with a minute left. If two out of three did not happen, take away the 6 and we win 2 games. Who knows what would of happened in the other if we got the ball with a minute left. Forget stats for a minute, lets count how many times they shot themselves in the foot.

I always say that I love the talent but not the player as a Giant fan, but I can't even imagine how much Cowboy, Eagle and NFL fans in general hate him.

The guy is total mental midget.

Maybe Gettleman can trade him for a fullback.

There is no alternative on this roster. Hopefully there will be options next draft. I don't believe anyone in the Giants draft room liked Darnold. I watch a ton of college games, and did not want Darnold. If Mayfield was there, then I think Giants take him. Barkley looks to be the real deal, so no complaints from me.

Can't wait until they get a small chip in the football that's able to tell them the exact location on the field. Marking the spot, goal line stuff, all that just becomes a matter of looking at a specific number on a screen.
 
I’m just beyond the point of caring anymore about the theatrics and drama about the giants, I just want a season that lasts into December.

He is going to self-destruct long before the 10 years is up. I don’t know how it will end, but I would bet the house that it ends long before the end of the contract.

The thing is I actually think Beckham's talent is that of one of the top offensive weapons in the game. It's just everything that he does on the field and sideline torpedoes him.

I was shocked the contract situation went down without as much fanfare as it did.
 
I just saw Ajayi tore his ACL.

Normally you’d say the season is cooked at 1-4 but this division is so bad you can win at 8-8 potentially.

And can we all laugh at the guaranteed money they paid Stewart. Not a lot of money but maybe the worst signing ever.
