And haven’t scored 30 in 34 straight games. That’s all on the O Line though...A crazy stat about the Giants offensive futility. only 1 time over the past 24 games have they put up 24 points.

Wrong question. I know you and @whaler11 love to cry over spilled milk, but we took who we took in the draft and we are where we are. The question is, What can realistically be done to address the problem now? We are not getting Eli's replacement this season. For the people who still think Eli is a decent QB, who are the starting NFL quarterbacks you think he's better than?
I was calling for Eli's replacement years ago. It absolutely never should have come to this, it's not how you run an NFL team. Lauletta will get his chance in a few weeks if there is any common sense left with Giants management.Wrong question. Who is Eli better than?
I am not crying over spilt milk - I’m spiking the ball on anyone who thought drafting Barkley was the right move.
In order to think that was the right move:
- you’d have to miss Eli isn’t cooked
- think the rest of the team was good enough to carry Eli
- completely misunderstand how to win in today’s NFL
It’s fine if fans want to believe things about the roster - it’s inexcusable for management.
I'm guessing he's better than Lauletta, but I don't know. I don't watch enough other teams in the NFL to know or say if he's better than any other starters in the league. I agree it shouldn't have come to this, but I can't waste emotional capital being as angry about it as you are. I try to think of ways to make it better, which, again, starts with benching Flowers imo.
I trusted the conclusion of the people doing the scouting and making the draft picks that they didn't see a franchise QB in that draft. They may have been wrong.
But the current braintrust mocks analytics - that’s been a winning approach in professional sports the last few decades so I’m sure we are in good hands.
Instead they took a kid who's incredibly talented, will probably be a great player and absolutely, positively, will not matter nor change a THING for this franchise. It was a dumb, indefensible waste of a pick. It was the kind of pick that guarantees you will be drafting top 3 for years to come.
GOOD OLD FASHIONED RUNNING FOOTBALL fart noise blerp I almost hope they go 0-16 to hear who he blames
Yes. Le'Veon Bell is perhaps the best running back of his generation. Patient and explosive at the same time. Great receiver, too.
And yet...

Steelers have had higher yards per play without Bell. And identical points scored per game:
Running backs are replaceable.
Given all the DL this year and Gettleman's history, I'm not exactly thrilled with what I'm expecting this draftIt's a long rebuild anyway. Thats why they really should have traded this year's pick for more picks
....and the next play after both of those were sacks...lolEli’s best plays were a pair of 4th and 1 QB sneaks.
I don't even agree that they listened to the fans with the Eli thing- most of the fans know he's washed and has been for some time.
Watch replays of other games.Sure to be a QB scamper. Even Ryan does it.Rogers also. Prescott? Pays dividends. Agree with you 100%The fact that 90% of the passes are within like 3 yards of the line of scrimmage is so GD frustrating. If this isn’t Eli’s last year next season will be another disaster. Yes the line is pretty damn awful, but having a quarterback who can’t move for his life makes it seem that much worse. You need a mobile QB in today’s game unless you have Tom Brady, and Eli is obviously not anywhere close to that.
What gets me is, the Giants lose to the Jags on a traditional tipped pass interception for a TD.Without that, the G-men win. Then the Jags take the Pats to the woodshed. Still shaking my head.Only silver lining is they could possibly be the worst team in the league and get the #1 pick to get their qb. I'm not even being hyperbolic, the team is basically Barkley. Beckham and a bunch of scrubs.
No comment on Eli, but I imagine this sums it up for a few people in this thread:

Eli pics are the absolute best. cracks me up.
The right move was to trade down and get as many good draft assets as they could get.
I think with a good line Eli could still be a productive QB...and I thought adding Solder and the 2nd round
Pick were two great adds.
What the hell happened.
Yeah agree Viking. Carl Banks agrees and still thinks the OLine may be ok still unfortunately need to play together more.....will be too late by the time they mesh if they do at all.

The good news is we can draft a QB with next year's top-3 pick.
Eli certainly looks bad but the OL is so pathetic I can't even get a good read on how bad. Now the C is down for the count. Oof.
Also, what was with Shurmur punting on 4th and inches from the 50 and then going for it 5 minutes later at his own 30?
