OT: Giants

Turned on ESPN Gamecast. How does a man as big as Darkwa go 11 touches for 10 yards in a half? Ints are not Geno's backbreaker, fumbles are and he has two already

Watched the first half, the offensive line was absolutely awful, especially run blocking. Darkwa had no where to go. But what else is new.
 
Today's result probably keeps McAdoo on board at least another week but PLEASE no more victories
Giants need that number 2 pick BUT if Reece is still around, the pick will suck
 
Another great day for the New York Football Giants organization. Why the hell a competent owner would fire anyone in charge of this Titanic until the end of week 17 is beyond me.

The last thing we need is for a new coach the players want to rally around and win 2 of the last 4 games.

The only question left is does Davis Webb see any snaps next week. If we are going to steal a win or two, let's just do it with a kid - or let him crap the bed and sail on to a 2-14 season.

So we as Giants fans, who all know we have a chance with a change in the line and offensive scheme, now know next year we will suck again because the Mara's are and not very smart after all. They made an awful year much worst than one can imagine.

How is OBJ and others feeling about this? Why stay it will be a while before they compete again.
 
Geno played well yesterday. His throws were better than Eli as was his ability to move out of the pocket. I am a big Eli fan and Geno had the same problems because of lack of protection that Eli has had this whole season but we have to admit that Eli has played badly. How many 10 foot screen passes have we seen thrown at the feet of receivers? Behind a good offensive line, with receivers and running game I would go with Eli. We don’t have that because the quarterback has to be able to run for his life. In a different offense Eli will succeed. I want to see what Webb can do now.
 
The Giants have become the new Browns. As you remember, the fan base went crazy and the Browns fired Belichick because he benched washed up Bernie Kosar. The Browns have made the playoffs once since.

Eli's having his worst year and Geno's rating was worst than his average. He's not very good, he doesn't move all that great and the Raiders are awful defensively. Geno was ok, but please they are making a horrific move for the future of the Giants in so many ways. It's disgusting what we as fans are witnessing from an organization we were once proud to root for.

He should still be playing, they should be confident they can acquire a solid offensive line for his protection while whomever they feel is the future plan lies in wait. This new plan is just plain unacceptable.

Bill was an awful coach with the Browns, nothing more to say. Most coaches are awful without good players.

And please the comparison to the Browns as bad as even I believe it may be for a while the Giants are not and won't be.

Except he wasn't. He took them to the playoffs.

If it was me, I would have started Eli in Oakland and let him have a final home game vs Dallas.

Webb gets the ball the final 3 starts and if he's getting killed out there, let Geno work in mop up duty.

Should have been a formal press conference with all involved parties.

I'm concerned Webb is going to play a handful of series the rest of the season and we'll still have no idea what we have in him coming into the draft.

Edit: the only reason to not start Webb is due to the atrocious offensive line and not wanting him to become shell shocked...in which case, they should have continued with Eli.
 
I assume Reese will stay til the end of the season. Spags could be gone too I guess, the strategy of blitzing everyone every doen doesn’t work when the back end is either hurt or not trying.

Because McAdoo has had to spend the entire season under the shadow of a franchise in chaos while moving out-of-town causing incredible controversy. Oh, wait. Only an idiot doesn't give BB a pass for that year. Luckily the Pats aren't idiots.

To be fair the organization that fired Belichick has gone to the playoffs many times and won the Super Bowl twice.
