Official Men's Hockey Recruiting Thread

I'm not sure what else is used but I know the Central Scouting rating is utilized. I hope this helps.
Speaking of Central Scouting, they currently list Howarth the 128th North American skater in this year's draft. In other words, there's a realistic shot he gets drafted in June even before he plays a game for UConn. Pretty cool.

‪With only 4 seniors (1 being a goalie) on the roster, UConn is bringing in a big class next season.‬
‪Jordan Timmons F‬
‪Zac Robbins F‬
‪Will Garin F‬
‪Brian Rigali F‬
‪Evan Wisocky F‬
‪Mike Young D‬
‪Adam Karashik D‬
‪Philip Nyberg D‬
‪Connor Mayer D (2017 or 2018)‬

>>Jordan Timmons’ journey to Division I hockey has taken a bit of a detour this summer. The Bridgeville native and South Fayette alum was scheduled to be enrolling in the University of Connecticut this fall, but a shoulder injury has caused him to reclassify for the 2018-19 school year.

Timmons, who will turn 19 in October, had offseason shoulder surgery and as a result, the coaching staff at UConn asked him to push his enrollment back a season,Timmons told Pittsburgh Hockey Digest.<<

Pretty cool that in the 18-19 season, the Huskies might have two goalies that have been drafted, that is, if Huska hasn't signed with the Rangers by then.

Does anyone know anything about the above two recruits?

Recruiting Class Rankings - Neutral Zone - Men's Hockey

It made our ranking for 2018 go down to 4th from 3rd. I know the rankings shouldn't be 100% relied on due to the way they're made

When we had 10 commits(3rd)
Avg 4.08

Now, with 11 commits (4th)
Total stars 43.75
Avg 3.98

Can't look back, because link is dead when we had just 10.

So, I'm not sure if kinal is the 11th, but by reading the linked article,
he played 24 games with a +3 and was a 7th round (112th overall) in the phase II USHL draft

Linell looks like he's gonna be good

Wisconsin that is now in 3rd
has same amount of stars (43.75), but 12 vs 10 commits, but has a point total of 987.22 while UConn has 977.16. Points are determined by reading link.

Hey, thanks!

This is exactly the type of response I was hoping for

So, just to clarify, are you saying we have the 4th best recruiting class in the country as of now?
