Well, maybe Kim can wave at Aaliyah Moore as she drives through Waco on I-35 on her way to Austin.

Deep down you love Kim ;)

I am looking forward to Baylor vs Texas each year. Baylor will still be a top force as always but Texas will at least make this thing helluva competitive game each year now that Vic is in charge and recruiting top tier talent. This will be great for the big 12.

“(Marquette) was the best fit for me,” Williams said. “There were a lot of different coincidences, such as picking a school where I would be a part of a team that could beat a team like Connecticut. Also, I was outside two days ago, getting in a workout and I saw eagles flying outside my house.

Back in late January, Williams had this to say to OakPark.com’s James Kay:

“I don’t want to join UConn—I want to be the team that takes down a team like UConn.”

You wanna beat UConn? Of course you do. You and every other team and player not on UConn or not playing for UConn or not recruited by UConn. Hell even lower division teams would love to beat UConn. I sure wish these recruits would stop stating the obvious. WEAK sauce if you need UConn to motivate you. Blah blah blah!

I'm confused. Was joining UConn an option for her?

Good recruits to other schools in the BE not named UCONN is good for the conference. I wonder what will happen to Villanova now that Harry is gone. They need to make a smart hire - someone that brings energy and a fresh approach to coaching. I see they landed Denise Dillon. No idea what she's like. Hopefully a good hire for them!

Villanova hired a month ago. They brought over Drexel's coach, former Wildcat Denise Dillon.

I think a few of us had a conversation on this last year when he signed one of the top prospects out of Arkansas in last year‘s class, E Eaton. J Wolfenbarger is a good prospect. However, he still needs to get some size and defensive players. What position is Wolfenbarger going to play? I believe at one point she was listed as a point guard.

Kim's list of high priority recruits is quickly dwindling for this 2021 class. Aaliyah Moore, Wolfenbarger, Jade Malone, and Rori Harmon are now off the board. They didn't make the cut for Lattimores final list. Iriafen will be extremely hard to pull from the west coast. Raven Johnson seems to be in heavy contact with SEC programs, understandable given her geographic region. They must be putting all the eggs into Maryam Dauda's basket. They really could use a good shooting guard, maybe the transfer portal comes into play. Whiffing on a class can happen from time to Time but you better sign a great class the following year or add the pieces via transfer portal.

Wolfenbarger is a phenomenal talent, great grab for Arkansas.

Article says they have 6’2” post player coming in and Jersey is 6’4” there’s some size
Jersey will probably plans on playing some type of point forward/ wing in college, I’m sure she told every school looking at her that she’s not a center.

With half of the top-20 now committed, where do you guys think the other 10 will commit to?
- Azzi Fudd: UConn
- Saniya Rivers: South Carolina, NC State, or UNC
- Sania Feagin: South Carolina, Louisville, or Georgia
- Okikiola Iriafen: Stanford
- Talia von Oelhoffen: Stanford or Oregon State
- Raven Johnson: South Carolina or Louisville, Oregon is a sleeper.
- Rayah Marshall: Stanford or UCLA, not sure if Oregon is in the mix. She’s been very quiet.
- Kayla McPherson: ???
- Damiya Hagemann: ???

Agree on Iriafen a likely (hopeful) Stanford and von Oelhoffen being Stanford or Oregon State, but FWIW, Marshall has not been on our board's (quickly shrinking) long list, so that would be news to me. If HoopGurlz ~50th ranked Jzaniya Harrriel is offered, she will almost certainly commit as she has been aggressively repping Stanford as her dream school. So a class of Demetre, Iriafen, von Oelhoffen, and Harriel is our probable realistic best bet. There's been little recent indication Fudd is strongly considering Stanford. If one of those doesn't come through, Tara has signed a Canadian or Aussie in four of the past five seasons, so that's a possible route too, and those commitments tend to come out of no where at the very end of the cycle.
