With half of the top-20 now committed, where do you guys think the other 10 will commit to?
- Azzi Fudd: UConn
- Saniya Rivers: South Carolina, NC State, or UNC
- Sania Feagin: South Carolina, Louisville, or Georgia
- Okikiola Iriafen: Stanford
- Talia von Oelhoffen: Stanford or Oregon State
- Raven Johnson: South Carolina or Louisville
- Rayah Marshall: Stanford or UCLA, not sure if Oregon is in the mix. She’s been very quiet.
- Kayla McPherson: ???
- Damiya Hagemann: ???
You got that when you signed Schaeffer and kept Collier.
I think Texas LOST a million dollars - several actually - but I'm guessing Southie thinks it was worth the price. You got that when you signed Schaeffer and kept Collier.
It's not my money. But, if the recent incoming transfers and verbal commitments announced in the first 3 weeks since Vic was hired are any indication of short-term and long-term success on the court, then it was money well spent.I think Texas LOST a million dollars - several actually - but I'm guessing Southie thinks it was worth the price.
Don't you dare short-change Celeste Taylor . . .You got that when you signed Schaeffer and kept Collier.
Or, we could figure that Texas SAVED millions of dollars by paying Aston considerably less than what the top coaches nationwide are paid, and now are simply applying a portion of those savings to hire Vic.I think Texas LOST a million dollars - several actually - but I'm guessing Southie thinks it was worth the price.
Exactly. We paid Goestenkors $1 million a year for 5 seasons. Then, we paid Aston like $600,000 for 3-4 years. Then, paid her like $800k for the next 4-5 years.Or, we could figure that Texas SAVED millions of dollars by paying Aston considerably less than what the top coaches nationwide are paid, and now are simply applying a portion of those savings to hire Vic.
It's all in how we frame it.
My Oregon State neighbor had Jersey penciled in his sure thing recruiting list. But he also had Van Lith inked in on his list too.
I couldn't think of her name.Don't you dare short-change Celeste Taylor . . .
Tell him to stop penciling in sure things. His track record isn't very good.
Walz lands a 6-5 center from South Dakota:
Seems rare for North/South Dakota (which is where she is from) to have a top-100 talent, but a 6-5 basketball and volleyball player who is good enough for both sports at a P5 school in back-to-back years (Arizona’s Ware in ‘20) is wild.2 sport athlete looks like, bball and vball.
I think he will go 0 for 3 with his Talia von Oelhoffen pickTell him to stop penciling in sure things. His track record isn't very good.
any chances that hs teammates Rickea Jackson & Damiya Hagemann want to play together? With half of the top-20 now committed, where do you guys think the other 10 will commit to?

Did he at least have Kampschroeder pencilled in?I think he will go 0 for 3 with his Talia von Oelhoffen pick
Oregon State fans were hopeful as always, but no one that I know thought that Jersey was headed to Corvallis. Was it the Goforth connection that led to that feeling? The message board for OSU wasn't overly optimistic that another top Arkansas-based recruit would leave her native state for the Pacific Northwest. Lightning didn't strike twice in the same place. My Oregon State neighbor had Jersey penciled in his sure thing recruiting list. But he also had Van Lith inked in on his list too.
With names like that, need multiple pencils.Did he at least have Kampschroeder pencilled in?
With Stanford’s recent misses on Kampschroeder, Citron, and Miles, it would be very surprising if von Oelhoffen did not choose Stanford.

Makes sense. After committing, she said her top-5 was Arkansas, Baylor, Notre Dame, Oregon, and Oregon State. Huge for Arkansas to keep her away from those four programs. No concrete info, but if I had to guess, I think Baylor and Oregon were her other top contenders, though she did mention OSU among programs that she was interested in.
