Nalyssa Smith Tweeted yesterday that she's committing in August. Her suitors are likely Baylor and South Carolina being that she visited SC officially and Baylor unofficially on multiple occasions. I think she has already decided on what school she is going to and she's just waiting for her brothers birthday to commit. Hopefully Dawn can woo her because we really need a player of her caliber.

The Gameocks women are in the top ten with 5-foot-8 Joanne Allen-Taylor of Houston. The others are Washington, Alabama, Mississippi State, SMU, Kansas, TCU, Georgia Tech, LSU and Texas.

Something seems off to me in this recruitment:

Why??

Adia Barnes is a well respected young coach. She should do great things at Arizona.
Maybe she has family in Tucson??

I wonder if she's be similar to the other Morgan Jones who started at Northwestern and ended up at Florida state
morgan-jones

Her game reminds me of Kaela Davis and Diamond DeSheilds. 6'2" athletic wing with a versatile skill set and can score at all three levels. She is an AAU teammate of ONO for the Georgia Metros. She's going to improve any team she committs too.

I'm hearing SC is a favorite. I hope so... and I hope she brings her AAU teammate with her.

Well, I'm sure SC is a favorite she did put them in the Top 10. It always puzzles me when a recruit releases anything other than a top 5. What's the point the point in making a 12, 10, 0r 8 list to post online. I know some say it's to tell coaches to blow off and they're not interested, but that list is not going to deter college coaches from still blowing up their inbox or phone. It's not like they don't change list every month too adding schools, dropping, and replacing. All I'm saying is notify me when the recruit I want releases a top 5 and not sooner.

NJSIAA hits Paterson Eastside with unprecedented penalties following hoops scandal

Thanks for posting. The boys' side has been doing this for years and in somewhat greater volume; hence, the somewhat stronger penalties. Kids don't seem to have been penalized. Wonder if AA will stay/play there, given the probation (no state tourney, but ok for country tournaments) or if anther school (I'm most certainly thinking private) will be a landing spot for one year.

Thanks for sharing this. I recall seeing a tiny media mention of 6 athletes living with the boy's coach, then silence. Athletic Dept. was run like a criminal syndicate! Much more background info from this embedded story which, in turn, leads to more. Seems to me that district needs a general housecleaning among its administrators.

WBB: Looks like top-5 2018 prospect Izabela Nicoletti committed to Florida State (over Tennessee, UCLA, Michigan) http://www.knoxnews.com/story/sports/college/university-of-tennessee/womens-basketball/2017/06/16/jolette-law/403129001/ … pic.twitter.com/D65nd1y9co

FSU suddenly looks like a desired destination. They've picked up Nicoletti, Amaya Brown, and UConn target River Baldwin. That's quite a haul.

Semarau's a pretty good coach too. Looking at the future, the Noles may be a legit threat.

Per Raul - Interesting story on Japanese collegiate players coming to US schools
