FSU to the Big 12 would be a godsend for us.
I've never listened to a podcast, I can only imagine what a horror show that one must be.The dood should double check with bowlsby. Don't want to leak something he shared with the dood in confidence.
The ACC is their best landing spot. What real college football fan wouldn't like to see the back yard brawl. It's like BCU and UConn in hatred. Since Yale- Harvard established the precedent of playing people you truly hate. There's nothing like it.The lunacy of some WVU fans is astonishing. No conference that can come within shouting distance of the B-12 in terms of money or prestige would give WVU the time of day yet a fan ( question had to come from a WVU fan) sees them as similar to Oklahoma. The fact is a B-12 without Oklahoma or Texas may still be a better option for them than anything out there.
WVU dreamed of (and was denied by) the ACC more times than Lucy has pulled the football away from Charlie Brown. The ACC is their best landing spot. What real college football fan wouldn't like to see the back yard brawl. It's like BCU and UConn in hatred.
Love those games
Wasn't the academic standard that previously prevented them exsposed as a fraud with the Louisville add. WVA is regarded higher academically thanLouisville and their a State Flag Ship.WVU dreamed of (and was denied by) the ACC more times than Lucy has pulled the football away from Charlie Brown.
Would WVU love to be a member of the ACC? Absolutely.
Would fans of WVU, Pitt along many of college football in general love to see? Without question.
Would the ACC ever invite WVU for membership? Only if the current ACC got raided and the bulk of that conference's marquee names have moved on.
Didn't WVU fans burn Bobby in effigy as he was leaving?
Yes, WVU has a better academic profile than UL but there is more than a century of UVA, UNC, Duke & Wake viewing WVU's academics with disdain. At least two of those schools will need to be elsewhere for the ACC to accept WVU.
In the above scenario I believe UVA, UNC and Duke would use all of their combined weight within the conference to add UConn and Cincinnati (assuming remaining at twelve plus ND is not an option).Let's say, for argument's sake, that Kansas and Oklahoma jump to the B1G and the Big 12 is collapsing. The SEC doesn't want anyone but Texas, but wouldn't be willing to put up with Texas-related nonsense. They'd go ahead and poach, say, NC State and Virginia Tech (I don't see Duke/UNC/UVA leaving the ACC for SEC, and nobody wants Wake) to expand their footprint. The ACC, even just for optics, needs to add two schools. You don't think WVU would be one of them?

True but (again under the hypothetical scenario) don't be surprised if the result would be twelve plus ND (partial football, full member in other sports) plus Texas (partial football, full member in other sports).I would think that remaining at 12+ND would specifically not be an option because they wouldn't want to give the Big XII a chance to regroup and bring in those teams.
