It’s an expression. But the schedule is what it is. Give them Oregon’s schedule and they’d have at least 3 losses.

Give us anyone from a P5's conference and so would we. Probably more than just 3.
 
Ionescu had a tough season. First, losing good friends Koby and his daughter, then not getting the chance to win a NC and losing any chance to accomplish any more big time records. She did accomplish the one big thing she initially wanted when she chose Oregon. She wanted to go to a program that was not a prominent one and help bring it to prominence. She helped do that in a big way.

It took a global pandemic to keep Geno from winning his 12th Title. UConn was playing the best basketball in the country. The Basketball Gods have been jealous lately.

Got to feel bad for Lonescu. She was driven to win a Title. I still think Geno would have created a gameplan to lock her up & UConn would have beaten SC in the Finals. But, she still will be the #1 Draft Pick. Hope she gets to play!!

Too bad we can not see Oregon South Carolina settle it on the court. IMHO, South Carolina is the best team in the country.
 
Geno and Tara will break Pat Summitt's Number of Games won in the Same Year. Probably within a week or two of each other. Tara needs 4 Wins to Tie Pat, and that probably would have been in the Elite Eight Game to determine if Stanford was going to the F4 this year. The would probably have been playing Baylor so she might not have tied Pat this year anyway. Still it would have been a lot of pressure for Stanford. Win Go to the F4 and also Tie Pat Summitt for the # of Games Won.

I think Stanford would’ve had a very decent chance of beating Baylor. It would have been a great game, and the chance to tie the record would’ve added tremendous buzz. It won’t be the same when she gets the record in November.

Yet another reason to mourn the loss of the NCAA tournament.

No back-to-back titles for Mulkey. Tough blow, as a 3rd title would have separated her from the pack.
 
I feel so bad for all the coaches and players. You work so hard at something and a totally out of your control circumstance out of nowhere intervenes.

Let's face it, we would have need a lot of luck to win it to this year. Just to make it to the Final 4. And we've seen our team win a title 11 times. Imagine being an Oregon fan. Their greatest shot ever to win their first championship and they won't even get the chance.

I actually predicted your post if they canceled the NCAA's. No one can prove you wrong. But then again the ND fans are saying that they would have gotten invited to the dance and won it all and no one can prove them wrong either.

Unfortunately for Sabrina there might not be a WNBA season this year either.
