We always used to have multiple guards. Older ones, younger ones. Then you get hit by an injury and you're up the creek at that position. You need multiple guards more than you need multiple big men. I do subscribe to the idea you need 4 guards, if not 5.Guards #3, 4, and 5 didn’t even play any minutes. You cannot have 3-4 backup guards on the bench who all expect big minutes. If Castle reclasses we are pretty much out of minutes with him and Alleyne coming off the bench. We want our top options to play as much as possible. I don’t want to give backup guard #4 minutes because that means less minutes for our best players.
