1. I actually posted in this thread about seeing Nickleback and they stunk.

2. Comparing Nickleback to Billy Joel is absurd.

I love the BY - the nonsensical posturing is amazing.
You definitely drive down 95 belting out “Shot through heart/And you’re to blame/you gave luuuv a bad name/“ while drumming on your steering wheel.

Piano Man gives you goosebumps.

Do you put on “Scenes from an Italian Restaurant” on your way to Pepe’s?

I’m guessing you’re a big Nickleback fan too
I don’t understand Nickleback.

They are one of the highest selling bands of this generation and sell out arenas but literally no one likes them. How?

This thread reminds me of how everyone used to predict Miracle Legion was about to break out.

Minnesota definitely over New Jersey. In my book, not even close.

Seems like a an off-season topic for the ‘yard if I’ve ever seen one.

As much as I love Bruce, this tweet is wrong. Obviously California comes to mind but I think, if you factor in variety and price per pound, it’s hard to top Michigan.

New Jersey isn't even top 10. Washington, Cali, Texas, Tenn are just a few that blow NJ to the curb.

Shout out to PR! We got Ricky Martin! Um... hmmm, Daddy Yankee, I guess. And the lead singer of the Mars Volta. That’s pretty much it. And the rest of Menudo too I suppose.

Less for the rankings, more for what artists are from what state...

I think this one is based on where people were born. If you want to actually picture a Mt Rushmore type image, consider Mississippi w/Elvis, BB King, Sam Cooke, and Muddy Waters...and that omits Howlin Wolf, Robert Johnson, Jimmie Rodgers, and Bo Diddley. Of course, nobody stays in MS, which is usually reduced to bragging, "We're #48" when they move up in various rankings.

For actual listening enjoyment, I could be happy with Minnesota's Dylan, Prince, Mould, and, Westerberg, especially if Dylan covers were included.

This list of Texans starts off with

Willie Nelson
Beyonce
Selena
Buddy Holly

Stevie Ray Vaughan is at #10.

George Jones and George Strait in the teens and Roy Orbison is mid-20's.

That's some good bench strength.

Out of all the lists I've seen so far, Washington state is way ahead with Mich a solid #2.
If Connecticut included NY, NJ MA and eastern PA to more or less equal Texas, we’d kill it.

When I was at UCon you couldn’t put Bo Diddley on Mt. Crapper. They used to have Friday dances at the Union, rarely with celebrity artists. But they got Bo for one of them and the place has jammed way more than usual. And Bo was a no show I think he claimed he got stuck in traffic. He was good though.

If I never hear that song again, that would be fine.

In the 70's I was running with a religious group that used to be frequented by a young unknown named Michael Bolotin. Part of the routine was a number of us singing and playing guitar. He was a lot better than me.

Jeff Porcaro was from South Windsor. He was in Toto. Apparently is in the drummers HOF. Big time session guy. RIP

How does any self respecting UConn board not have Rambling Rich on CTs Rushmore?
