Monday's other games

ESPN doing a bangup job. They lost the audio for a THIRD time in the Quinnipiac game. Instead of staying with the video they go to a commercial - IDIOTS

I noticed that. To me it seemed as though it was HW who blew past Walz without a single word. He seemed to be ready to say something, but HW just pushed past him.

Not exactly classy.

The announcers said that this is the first time that Tennessee has gone out in the second round. But they failed to mention that UT has gone out once in the fist round. Ball State, wasn't it?

Tennessee is a strange, strange team. They beat how many top-10 programs during the regular season, but then lose in the first round of the SEC tournament against a nobody. Then they crap out in the second round of the NCAA. And all while featuring a former NPOY high school player who was freshman of the year at UNC. And then there's the 6'6" center, and an effective Jamie Nared. But the blow it time after time?

So does Tennessee fire Warlick right after her top recruiting class comes in, locking in the players? What do they do?
They did mention Tenn going out in the first round against Ball.

Quinnipiac still leads Miami... 43 to 36 at the half. Is there a Cinderella in Connecticut?

If there is the announcers STILL don't know how to pronounce it. I think Lobo is tired of correcting them.

Uh-oh... foul trouble for the Bobcats.

Q is shooting lights out but Martucci picks up her fourth foul.

Ugh, the ref called a charge on Plum but the defender was clearly in the restricted area.

.-.
The refs taking over in the QU game. Ticky tack for a 4th on Martucci. Total BS. Let the players decide the game.

Whoa, McDonald picks up her 4th foul in mid-3Q.
Her replacement, Corral, immediately turns the ball over and then fouls the shooter in transition.
Washington foul trouble could keep OK in the game.

Aaaaand ... Corral redeems herself with a 3.

Glad I didn't start playing a drinking game for every time somebody on the air mispronounces Quinnipiac. I'd be long dead by now.

This foul trouble for the Bobcats bodes ill, unfortunately. They need to adjust to how the game's being called and take a few fewer chances.

.-.
Yep! I said when brackets came out i wasn't happy to see them.

I''ve seen at least 5-6 teams outside of the 1 seed line impressive to me enough to make the Final 4....they ALL avoided South Carolina's region somehow. Most ended up in UConn and Baylor's region.

Nothing the team can do about the bracket, just have to deal with what's in front of them. Complaining isn't going to change anything.

They can only adjust so much when Miami mugs them and gets away with it. I think QU is running out of gas with help from the refs shortening their available players. It's tough enough being a cinderella without a home job!

Apparently Miami players can just run into the QU players and jar the ball loose.

That's for sure. They're doing a remarkable job in this game. Regardless of the outcome they can be very proud of what they've done.

I don't think Tex A&M is going to pull off another 20+ point comeback against UCLA tonight.

Washington was really humming in the 3rd quarter and stretched their lead from 7 to 23. It was vintage Kelsey Plum in every facet. Passing, hitting 3's, crossing defenders over, turning the corner, getting to the foul line, etc. She is such a joy to watch.

Plum has 31 points and 9 assists with another quarter to play.
Osahor is working on a triple-double.
McDonald and Romeo also in double figures.

Hopefully they switch to the Quinnipiac game soon. This Washington game is a bore. No defense at all.

Bravo to Quinnipiac. Even with suspicious calls and foul trouble, they are getting it done so far.

Unbelievable that Q is still leading playing a game of five on eight! Refs in this game called 7 touch fouls on Q in the third quarter and only one of the myriad similar fouls against Miami.

Win or lose, I couldn't be more impressed with Quinnipiac in this game. The poise they're playing with is remarkable. Really hoping they can hang on here!
