Are the Lakers a poverty franchise?
Not sure I believe Trilly on any of this, but FWIW

Are the Lakers a poverty franchise?
This us pretty spot on man. You're such an even keeled dude. No wonder why animals flock to you like st Francis. Why wouldn't he? This is a business and he's trying to get the best deal for him and his family. Obviously, he loves it here or he would've immediately taken the Lakers offer. I think some of us thought that would happen. It didn't. I would assume that his agent has been negotiating both sides as he should. That's the whole job. I have no issue with the way Hurley has handled this in the least. He was up front with the players about what was happening. He owes them that. And we are not privy, nor should we be, to what else has been said or not said. I would be really surprised if he has totally ghosted the players for the last 3-4 days. As far for us, he has already given us far more than we could have ever asked for. Our irrational love for the team, the coach, and the 3-peat scenario is causing people to lose their minds.
This doesn’t surprise me. Offer Hurley 6 years 70 million so when he says no you can lowball JJ even more because hey you’re not Dan HurleyView attachment 101484

I wonder if that offer is the guaranteed money with an opportunity to earn incentives on top of that like his current deal includes. If that were the case, that would make UConn’s offer extremely competitive. Not sure I believe Trilly on any of this, but FWIW

Trilly might also be wrong, he hasn’t exactly been the best source during this processThis doesn’t surprise me. Offer Hurley 6 years 70 million so when he says no you can lowball JJ even more because hey you’re not Dan Hurley

The lakers have never really paid their coaches that well. Pretty sure the Buss family is one of the least wealthy owners in the NBA.Are the Lakers a poverty franchise?
He spent a few days. Any less would be disrespectful to the Lakers. There's been a decent amount of people questioning his character for "dragging out" the process and calling him an attention seeker
I don't mean to be a pr*ck but a haiku is 5, 7 and 5 syllables.That's all I got.
Off to toil today.
I think we rejoice today.
I read somewhere that a lot of his salary would be paid for with private money.Technically the lakers are paying over 100 million for their coach(es). This just includes the last 3 they fired with guaranteed contracts still in place? It seems like yesterday CT was out of $ and could never afford another coach after having to pay off Ollie's settlement. Amazing how we managed to recover.
I mean why can’t coaches get nil deals?I read somewhere that a lot of his salary would be paid for with private money.
Hope it’s ‘really sorry… I was on a bender’ rather than ‘cadaver dogs find body’There was a brilliant post about 60 pages ago (I’m too lazy to find it) about how this feels like we’re waiting for news about a missing relative, and it’s hard to focus on anything else.
Which is much more after taxes and cost of living factored in.Not sure I believe Trilly on any of this, but FWIW

And he's comfortable going late in the shot clock without panicking.Hurley is running this LA offer situation just like he runs his offense. He's toying with everyone. He knows exactly how this will end and He's about to alley oop dunk his official return to Uconn today.
lol I'm picturing this in my headDanny is psycho enough to run practice today first before quitting
Of course, coaches can get nil as well.I read somewhere that a lot of his salary would be paid for with private money.
