Fully aware of thatACC doesn’t get any money if ND gets in

The need a conference for all other sports. They don't need the ACC specifically. Frankly the Big East fits the mold really well as far as non-football conferences go.They need the ACC for all other sports. For football it’s a scheduling agreement, 4-5 ACC games per year
This is a great idea. David Benedict should get on the phone with Val Ackerman now and make that known. After all, we are the ones propping up the Big East.I'm all in...with the condition that ND needs to play UConn in football annually...
Val, do something challenge. This is a great idea. David Benedict should get on the phone with Val Ackerman now and make that known. After all, we are the ones propping up the Big East.
Sec or B1g will not take them without FBI don’t understand conference politics so help me out here. Which of these 3 is realistic?
- ND goes to SEC/B10/B12 in non-football and stays independent in football like they’ve been doing
- They find a new conference for all sports
- ND goes to the Big East for non-football
- #3 happens, UConn sees an open spot in ACC basketball, tries to jump into it with an agreement that football has to come too?
PLEASE
Not immediately. But the more successful ND is, the more valuable are the regular season games vs ND. That's why the ACC and ND play those 5 games per season in the first place. If ND has a bad run, those games become much less of a draw. Hopefully to the point that younger generations don't care about ND. Go Hoosiers!ACC doesn’t get any money if ND gets in
Only if they play in East Hartford.I'm all in...with the condition that ND needs to play UConn in football annually...
USC finished 4th in the conf. ND beat them by 10. They would do just fine.Especially as ND's losses would mount playing more Big 10 schools
1) ND is not joining the B10 anytime soonIs it that crazy to think if Notre Dame does finally join the B10 for all sports, that UConn is the only option left to fill their spot in the ACC? Would they seriously take Memphis/USF/Tulane over us?
I really doubt they wouldn’t figure it out if Notre Dame wanted in to the B10.1) ND is not joining the B10 anytime soon
2) This is a leverage play with the ACC, hoping to get more concessions -- eg on the opponents for their required ACC games
3) If the ACC says no, they go to the B12
Does a bear crap in the woods, did the golden doomers get left out of the CFP, was F Troop the funniest show about the Wild West? ACC wouldn't take UConn if tobacco road was on fire and the only source of water was the Connecticut River. Overly dramatic, yes, but on point. You bet your ass they would take Memphis/USF/Tulane over us cuz stupid is as stupid does.Is it that crazy to think if Notre Dame does finally join the B10 for all sports, that UConn is the only option left to fill their spot in the ACC? Would they seriously take Memphis/USF/Tulane over us?

Of course. ND could get in the B1G or SEC tomorrow if it wanted. It doesn't.I really doubt they wouldn’t figure it out if Notre Dame wanted in to the B10.
