Key tweets, and it's all gone to Hell.

This will be an unpopular take here but needs to be said: if we are really looking at football only somewhere (highly skeptical that it ever happens), the AAC is a better fit than the PAC.

Please please please invite our football program. Leave basketball in the Big East, put football in the PAC. And everyone is happy in the short term. Plus it's an extra $7-8M in our pocket which would be huge for our budget.
This would be the ideal outcome for us and the PAC-12 if we can get a football only membership. If Zags can get full share without football, then we are really been under valued.

not really. Any deal would probably leave us outside windows to join the B12. Not making the B12 means we dont have a life raft when basketball splits away

Would depend on the money but with Memphis, Tulane and USF staying along with Army and Navy and better geography, you’re right. Thing is the AAC would never have us after we abandoned them.

I don't think many here will disagree. The AAC for FB-only is better than being an indy. But that option was never going to happen.

This is turning into one of the more brutal public humiliations in sports history. The Pac 12 was making press releases for days about which schools they were going to add, and now they are hoping for Utah State to say "yes".

The smart move is for both sides, the MWC and Pac 2+4, to stand down and work something out.

That would probably be the smarter move, however, I'm still holding out hope for our football-only invite lol
